Very touching story. T-mac is a great guy, but it's even better that his back is no longer sore. I can't wait until the season starts.

This may be true, but it's not like T-Mac has a damaged image that he needs to improve. He doesn't have a rape case that he's trying to bury. T-Mac's does many charitable things(I believe his foundation is among the biggest in all of professional sports)...Is it all selfless? Who knows/who cares? A good deed is a good deed, and the fact that it seems to satisfy him is even better.

We would be fools to trade the guy.

Other athletes do this kind of stuff all the time... except without the reporters present.

I know we are all here for basketball purposes but stories like that really put into perspective how small of an issue basketball really is!

D_Wade is arguably the nices guy in the league. Shaq is nice too. Infact only Payton and White Chocolate are the truly not-so-nice guys on that team yet they won the NBA championship debunking this sentiment and Charles Barkley's theory that you best players must be pitbulls. Duncan, Gino and Parker are very nice fellas as well.

We just need them (Mac and Yao) to be healthy as well as furnish them with serviceable supporting cast.

I care about winning and T-mac should too. Helping his opponent win? What a loser. If T-mac had any heart he would have body slammed the kid when he had him in the air, stole the ball, and dunked on his face.

You are weak if you won't dominate a sick kid to win.

Trade T-Mac for a real winner with heart who never quits...Vince Carter. You can tell he is a real man in his T-Mobile commericials.

You sound like you have a future writing the WNBA commercials.
