Exactly. He is not admitting it. Maybe he never will. But I think he has lost his athleticism for good.

He tried the reverse not because he wanted to be fancy but because he messed up his steps trying to adjust which leg he was going to jump off of. He was probably deciding whether he should just lay it in or dunk it, and it was too late. You just can't do that in basketball. He's done. :(

For those who still think it is about effort, lay off your haterade and think straight!!

Tell them how you really feel 99er!

We could have gotten Billups and Rip for him right? look how much better Denver is playing with his leadership.

"I hope somebody catches up with me?"
did he think Hakeem was chasing him down?

I can't believe he admitted to never jumping off his
leg in practice -- that is just strange.

I'm pretty sure he's done it before, but gametime is way different than practice, even scrimmages.

I guess this is what he meant when he proclaimed, "You will see the vintage T-Mac now...I'm back!" and "guys on this team talk too much..."

Who cares about the Rockets forcing McGrady to practice on his gimpy leg? Shouldn't McGrady have taken some personal responsibility and tested out that leg himself?

    Preach on PREACHER !!!

The question I have is why does Adelman keep running him out there? It is clear that the team is better without him right now.....

That is no knock on his talent, just his wussiness.

I like to think this is the 2009 version of space jam and it's only a matter of time before t-mac gets his talent back from small aliens who are trying to capture bugs bunny again.

title of the article should read:

    Rockets Fans embarrassed about McGrady

I have lost faith in the guy now, he doesnt work hard and is a quitter. If he comes back this season and proves me wrong by leading the Rockets to the WCF or finals I would be more than happy to eat my words. But right now it is going to be another 1 and done in the playoffs. I have history on my side and history is the greatest indicator of the future.

Keep Artest Trade this guy for Carter.

carter for mcgrady probly could've went down as far as last year but not now. Carter is producing for the nets. Not what he used to be but he's still giving them 23-5-5 which is a good line. What would t-mac give them? 12-15(on a good night)-4-5. He's probly one of the worst rebounding 6'8 guys in the league. I mean look at what Lamar did to the cavs. That was athleticism. I still find it hard to believe that Lamar matured faster than t-mac cause it seems like t-mac is still stuck on titles and statlines. I mean he wants to be a facilatator and only get 15 a night, well guess what t-mac what if we need 30 from you. All he has on his mind is what people will say at the end of his career so I guess he wants to be the 6'8 facilatator he doesn't go anywhere over the 6'8 shooting guard who did whatever it took to win every game he played.

it demonstrated his knee has not been his issue and his mindset has been his big enemy as ra, morey, and media said in the early of the season.

Hi all. Long time reader, 1st time poster.

I have been a Rockets fan probably longer than many of you have been alive, and let me say I haven't witness anything like this since maybe Joe Barry Carrol. For all that continue to have optimism about Tracy coming back.....God bless you. I don't know what else he has to say to show that he does not want to play. He has said time and time again that he is back. We are all going to eat our words, then we see the same old thing. As soon as I read, "I hope somebody catches up with me so I can pass..." BS, I knew it was over. No athlete, let alone man would ever admit openly to defeat. "Hey boss, I know you needed me to get this report done, but I was sure hoping Johnson was coming in today so he could do it and I could get all the credit".
Some of you think this embarrasmant will light a fire in his a**. Nothing has worked so far, so what makes this any different? I'm tired of him always preparing us for the inevitable. What "Superstar" comes into training camp announcing "I'm not healthy." What "Superstar" always has to make sure the world knows he is not 100%. Continues to grimace and limp after ever drive to the basket. He's so over dramatic just like my 13 yr old. I have a staff of 14 employees. I can always tell when one of them is about to call in sick. The day before I hear the fake coughs. I hear them start complaining about not feeling very good and how they heard a bug was going around. Sure enough, I get a call the next morning and they sound like death warmed over. But we all know it isn't that bad, but they just needed an excuse not to work. You all know these people. This is Tracy.

HeyTracy, I know you're hurt already. I know you had surgery like 6, 8 months ago. I know you didn't take any initiave in the off-season to do any conditioning. Stop telling me about it and stop whining about it after every bad game. I don't see how anyone could be this far into the season and still be out of shape. What the f** are you doing all day? I guess when you only exert energy when you actually touch the ball and sit every practice then you aren't really getting much work in. Stop the f-in limping, grimacing, wincing after every play! Stop telling me you feel great, then tell me how scared you are to jump off your leg and you need someone like Scola to bail you out. Shut it down already and let the players who want to play, play!

    Thanks
