Atom Smasher is/was a douche. His jokes were mostly misses and it wasn't a good team up with Maria either. I was wondering why I was hearing mid-90s hits one afternoon on 104 and now I know. BRING ROULA AND RYAN BACK ON!!!

I was interviewed for a sports reporting job a couple years ago at KRBE and Atom Smasher was one of the biggest assholes ever. He seriously just sat there and acted like I was too unimportant for his time, didn't even shake my hand when I extended. When the program director asked me what radio stations I listened to I told her bluntly and honestly, "Not this one." 2000s radio music is terribly crappy, IMO, and I couldn't care less about Atom Smasher. Bon Voyage.
Man, there are some music snobs on this board. We get it, guys. You don't like pop music. The thing is, nobody who DOES like it cares if you do or not. I never understood why people feel the need to tell others that their taste in music sucks.

I don't why Cumulus is doing that. Radio Business is just terrible. Sam Malone saw the writing on the wall when there were whispers of 104 changing hands, so he got out, and chased the money and oppurtunity at cc. Roula and Ryan sucks. They bore me to death. 104.9 has a terrible morning show. I think on Fridays they play some old school stuff which is nice. I remember them playing P.M. Dawn one time. That was funny.

People who complain about top 40 stuff are hilarious. They act like it is so awful and then it gets contagious or "cool" to talk crap about it. I'm not a huge fan of it, but I think there is a reason it is top 40, because the majority of the public likes it, the ratings make it top 40 for a reason.
Artistry exists for a reason though, and some people like originality over cheap, manufactured music. I'm talking more about radio rock than radio pop though. The crap on The Buzz nowadays all sounds the same. Well, minus Nirvana and classic rock that's sometimes played. Of course, snobs can still appreciate the greatness that IS Third Eye Blind...
its good that all the other DJs keep their jobs, my gf is second cousins with YoJ, good to hear he still has his. Really cool guy, hung out with him last year during Thanksgiving.
I moved from Houston almost 7 years ago. Sounds like 104.1 still sucks as bad as it did. I don't think I've ever hated a radio personality more than Sam Malone. His voice made me sick anytime I heard it. BTW, what ever happened to Stevens & Pruitt?
Stevens was fired by KLOL in 2000. Then Pruitt and The Boner soon followed. They went to Dallas, then came back to Houston. Now Pruitt and Boner (no Stevens) have a morning show on 97.5.
There are some good top 40 artists, like Kelly Clarkson and Gwen Stefani among many others. But that Rihanna song "Unfaithful" is the absolute worst crap I have ever heard. It's a new low in music.
