The young fellow has certainly proved how valuable an active, explosive, fearless PF is. Not that he is just a dunker but his value as a player right now is certainly the fact that his defender needs to stay between him and the rim AND keep him about 8+ feet from the rim or Tmac repeatedly feeds him for poster dunks on people. Chemistry is great, skill is mandatory but sheer athleticism is certainly hard to contain when a guy is confident.
I am glad to hear his knee is not sore anymore. Look forward to see him dunk and dominate the offensive rebounds more.
Sure like that explosiveness of his. Its both energizing and just plain efficient, finishing off a pass with a 2 hand flush instead of fadeaway hook. This shows what i've said about Landry from the start, that he doesnt have shot creating ability yet. Once his explosiveness left he was a very limited player. Chuck Hayes is unexplosive as is Scola but can still be effective. Landry on a bum knee still has more athletisicm than Scola and Hayes combined but hasnt produced much, almost being a negative player. I'm not mad at him or anything though, he's still a rook and its all mental. It'll be nice to see that later one if he's gimpy then he'll start displaying that smooth jumper of his more
Someone has to be the guy who passes to Landry and Scola ...someone needs to set them up.....especially with Tmac out. I hope Brooks gets some run. DD
The very first time I saw Landry monster dunk over kwame it brought a tear to my eye. I LOVE U LANDRY!!!!!!!!!!
You know I don't blame him for being worried, it was a surgically repaired knee and he is in the last year of his contract....... I am glad he is no longer swelling up and will get back to his normal explosive self.....that should up his pay somewhat in the offseason if he can show he is healthy in these last 5 games and the playoffs. DD
If he's at 90% medically, and he's personally "giving 110%", I guess that's a wash and he's now at 100%.
