Kenny is making $8.5 mil this season and $8.7 next year to sit at the very end of the Sacramento Kings bench and sulk. Not a bad job if you can get it.
I was there last year when he came back; dude was dunking all over the Warriors. It will be tougher this year with Turiaf guarding the paint, that guys a defensive beast. Wish we had him as Yao's backup.
Also, he said "Man, f... Houston" when a fellow Clutchfans member stalked him and asked him about the Rockets (after he was traded). I strongly dislike him since then.
I agree, this teams seemed to lack Landry's energy against Suns and Lakers. Last night Chuck Hayes luckily stepped out and took a role of Carl Landry against the Trailblazers.
Landry's great but Chuck needs to get into the game more. His defense is so many light years ahead of Landry's it's not even funny. On nights when Landry doesn't have his scoring touch or is getting bullied by bigger PF I say put him up and let Chuck have the minutes.
This Landry episode reminds me of a few seasons ago when Juwan Howard went out for the season with some weird heart issue a few weeks before the playoffs. That team, with a healthy T-Mac and an emerging Yao, complemented by Howard's savvy play, was really dominating toward the end of the season. Then Juwan goes out and we can't close the deal against the Mavs in the first round. I hope Landry is at full strength with a few games left in the season so we can find our mojo again.
hopefully he got some good rest and is ready for some crazy play from now on and through the playoffs.
This is really good news but I won't hold my breath if I were you. The Rockets' medical staff is a total joke.
Does anyone else find it amazing that so many big men have a problem pushing Chuck back into to lane. If I had to tag a number one niche of Chuck's it would be that. Yes, he has really quick hands but I checkle at the frustration he causes so many guys 6 inches taller than he is.
I trust Adelman to recognize when the opposing team's power forward is feeling it, bc thats when he puts in Chuck, to shut down the opposing team's power forward. To have that in your team is invaluable, Chuck is very important, even if he is in the bench alot of the time.
