Sounds like he is buying into the underdog fighting mentality of this team. I like it!

I really expect KM to get alot of easy off the ball points this year with Brad Miller and to a lesser extent Yao whom both are excellent high post passers. Expect him to make alot of baseline cuts off the ball towards the basket.

km and tm are two different people. i tend to trust km based on their personality and injury differences.

How did you find out that Battier did not train this summer? Don't remember reading about it.
    Not a f*****.

And two totally different situations. Martin doesn't have to prove anything to anybody. After having a couple of rough games when he was traded, he started putting up his usual 20+ points with the Rockets. With Tmac, we were wondering if he could even run again, nontheless score like he use to.

Martin probably thinks he has a green light. I'm not sure how to take this news. It could be good or it could be bad.

It is very good news. What Martin is talking about is scoring about 25 ppg on 12-13 shots. That is highly, highly effective. Attack mode means pouring it on from the free throw stripe.

    It's all good.

    What exactly has Martin won?

And Kmart isn't transforming himself from an unathletic SG with a bad shot to the opposite, he simply improved what he already had and mostly just got back to his healthy form.

QUOTE=durvasa]I'm a big fan of David Thorpe's, and I trust him when he says Martin looks better than ever.

Still, reading those quotes, I can't help but get flashbacks to a year ago when Tim Grover was saying similar things about McGrady.[/QUOTE]

Same here...it's hard to think Kmart can improve his shot that much more...he's already really accurate...not that i dont believe him, but we'll have to wait and see.

That is one way to interpret it.

Another way to interpret it is that Martin wants to be aggressive. He wants to dominate. He wants to have the "alpha dog" mentality that some members of this board have been screaming for non-stop.

Maybe their desires (those members) are about to be satisfied at last?

**** it. I'll believe again and not think about injuries for Kevin Martin.

    Yao...I'm not holding my breath.

Kevin Martin! hard works will pay off in the end...glad these rocket players are hard workers with no egos. martin will be better this year as he will go through full training camp and playing along with yao would help him.

its seems like david stern is maybe using our team as a hospital center of some sort, just to send players off to other states and heal or something. the rockets are a team, not some damned nba all star injury rehab center.

Kmart will be a top ten scorer this year. I think he'll average at least an efficient twenty five points per game. He will make the All-Star team.

This is great we need Martin to stay healthy to have a great season. I love the words that's coming out his mouth about being ready to go. It seen like he's ready to get on the court and go to work. I love that attitude from a player.

KM's talking about getting 30 pts on 12-13 shots. If he can actually do that on the court I have no problem relegating everyone to spectator status and give Km the ball 100% of the time.

    If 12 shots =30 pts, then 100 shots= win
