Tracy doesn't care what these guys say he still getting millions. Once certain guys get the big bucks trash talking like this means nothing to them. Tracy doesn't have a competitve nature anymore. Just a boy that wants a paycheck.

IMO, the problem is not his effort right now during the games (including the 4th quarter).

The problem is that he coasts during the season for the most part. He doesn't play defense, rebound, or run the break at full-throttle during the course of the 82. And you can't just "turn it on" when the playoffs arrive and this is why he's entirely spent and exhausted at the end of these games now. But I can't fault his actual effort during this series. To me is doing everything his body is allowing him to. I don't think he choked that shot in Game 3, he just doesn't have any legs.

One more thing to mention: it could be that he coasts during the regular season because he is simply scared of injury and wear-n-tear. He's a really hard player to evaluate because he is shows you such brilliance in one instance and then it disappears all of a sudden. IMO, Les is going to have to pay up on the Luxury Tax and bring in a 3rd legit star in order for this team to ever realistically get a ring.

Jazz players are no better. Deron choked his last 2 free throws, and threatened the referees.

I don't see how one can call DW a scrub. Personally, I'd take him over Tracy.

I guess the Jazz feel real good about themselfs because they're beating a team without its co-best player.

Yeah i guess when he spoon fed scola for a easy layup and instead of getting the foul and the layup, he went up weak and missed the layup. Maybe had deke been in the game, the rox would have gotten the rebound and got a chance for the tie or a win. They like it alright that its basicall 3 on 5 maybe and yao has a suit on. I guess it should be easy defending tracy considering he has nobody that could start on their team. If the fans think he's such a poor player, trade him to utah for ak-47,brewer, and korver and see what happens.

Pretty sad that the Jazz players are confident enough to speak their minds about Tmac's lack of production in the 4th quarter.

He is getting a lot of attention, maybe it is time for the coaching staff to utilize him as a decoy and let other players take advantage of all that Jazz focus on Tmac.

Brooks and Novak would benefit the most....Brooks could attack and Novak could rain 3s....

Lets burn Utah's homecourt down. We'll see whose laughing then, showing up on their arena, which is on fire :D.

Let the Jazz be confident, karma does not stand cockyness

They did the same thing to Yao last year - bragging to the media about how they'd figured him out because he was too predictable.

I agree with u for once. I think that having Battier on the court isnt as vital this series since he isnt chasing some dynamic wing guy. When Shane needs a rest, Novak should come in. When u take Tracy out, they should bring in Brooks for rafer and battier comes back in. Brooks give the Rox that sheer speed and Novak the shooter. Battier sould guard williams and brooks guard korver when he's in. AK-47 isnt going to drive past or post anyone up anyway. Wecan b**** and moan because fans thought we should win, but through it all they have more talent. With all that, if Landry sits on okurs knees and gets the rebound, the rox have a chance to win anyway.

Reading the thread title, I was expecting a lot worse. Those guys aren't "dissing" him at all - they are just talking about their strategy and how well it's working.

Look, I hate the jazz as much as anyone, but those comments don't really piss me off. They're true.

Maybe they will piss T-Mac off and he'll come out wanting to show everyone what he can do. I guess there's a first time for everything.................................

I'd hate to say it but our whole squad is banged up.

But then again they are only responding to questions posed to them so I can't begrudge them that. I know T-mac doesn't like contact. It might be because of his shoulder I don't know.

I'm tired of hearing about how Tracy is banged up. So was Deron Williams the other night(did you see him limping in the 4th quarter?). Yet he still managed to blow by the Rockets defenders late in the game and make two huge buckets. And considering the final margin was 4 points, that was your ballgame right there.

Tracy has Kyle Freaking Korver on him for part of the game. Other times he has Matt Harpring guarding him. These are two players T-Mac should be able to blow by at will. But he doesn't.

Look at the play the other night when the Rockets got a stop and Mehmet Okur went down on the floor and didn't get up right away. The Rockets had a 5-on-4 advantage. T-Mac has the ball. And what happens? Nothing! He just dribbled on the perimeter and allowed Okur to get back so the Jazz could set up their defense.

It's not about his physical limitations. It's his mental deficiencies that are holding him back. If Tracy were using his brain, he'd know that he's a 33% 3-point shooter AT BEST. And he'd stop jacking them up(which not coincidentally he did in the Rockets' lone win in this series). He'd know that dribbling around at the 3-point line for 15 seconds like Steve Francis is not the way to beat the Jazz defense. He'd concentrate when he got to the foul line so that his free throw shooting percentage wouldn't be hovering in Shaq territory.

More than the fact that he's lost a step(or two), this postseason is finally proving what I've been suspecting all along. T-Mac is weak mentally. I don't think it's that he lacks the desire to win. He is trying out there. But he doesn't step it up to the degree that the truly great ones do. The true superstars don't care about fatigue or injuries. They overcome that because the mere thought of losing is more painful than any bruised knee or sore back.

Does anyone here think T-Mac could play through the flu like MJ did in Game 5 against Utah? Or a badly sprained ankle like Isiah in Game 6 against L.A.? Or even a broken pinky like Kobe's done this year since the All-Star Break? Hell no! The man would shut it down immediately.

Ultimately, T-Mac is a lot like David Robinson. Good teammate. Puts up great numbers in the regular season. But doesn't have the fire or the intensity to be the best when it really matters. I don't think trading him is an option, so the Rockets have to pray that Yao Ming not only stays healthy next season, but can be the one to have that killer instinct that his fellow superstar clearly lacks.

T-Mac brings alot of this on himself. He and no other player should ever admit to the media and opposing team that there tired in the 4th quarter or any other quarter for that matter. Watching Battier out there limping around and being a man and proffesional gives me a much higher respect for him than I have T-Mac. In pro sports or any sport you cannot admit any type of weakness, once you do your opponent will smell the blood in the water. Why can't T-Mac just man up and play like he did for 3 quarters in game 2 and let the chips fall where they may. Just leave it all out on the court damnit.

    This post was ....brilliantly typed.

Again, sit down with him and explain that they are going to run Adelman's offense and he will NOT have the ball in his hands.....and if he balks....he has to commit, or be shipped out.
