Yeah i would much rather have Sura rest now and then have him be healthy for the rest of the season than bringing him back too soon.
I agree. If Baker is motivated and comes ready to play he could be a big boost up front. That's some big ifs with Baker but still possibly. Baker has some nice low post offense, can rebound and is a quality PF when playing close to his potential. He can also play some good minutes at center and gives the Rockets another near 7-footer upfront. This definitely makes the Rockets deeper and more versatile.
I thought of the Vin Baker scenario as well. You know if anybody can get Vin playing lets say 75% of his old self its coach JVG. of course staying sober is a big part of that and hopefully he's the type of person that will say 'man this team can be special, this is my last shot, im going to bust ass and give it my all for this one last go round'. If Vin can't feel a great desire to be at his best for this group of guys and city and coach for 30 games and a playoff drive, then he can't ever say he wasnt given that one special opportunity to contribute, to be at his best, for a team that had a real chance to do something big. I think he's going to suprise us.
That 4 Gaurd line-up would be amazing! I'm sorry if I overrate it but the thought of it truely can be great on offense and defense.
yeah we do have a lot of options now when sura gets back and sometimes you just have to put your best five players on the floor and if that means going with a three guard lineup of james, sura, wesley and tmac at the 4 than thats what we're gonna have to do. if marion, jamison, nowitzki, radman can play 4 than mcgrady can at times and damn i get seriously pumped thinking of how fast and swift and dangerous a lineup of Sura, James, Wesley, Mcgrady and Yao could be. Thats whats so great about wesely he can hang with defending any small forward in the league, it doesnt matter how tall are big the guy is because wesley is low but as strong as an ox and pesky as a crow around a half finshed sandwich. and now james alongside him, that defensive combination could seriously become hazardous to most offenses health. James can take up wesleys role of guarding the fast penetrating guard and sura can guard the slower guard. and the running capabilities and spot up threepoint abilities of that lineup - whoa - they may run phoenix suns out of the building.
