    Money? Haha
Juwan doesn't even pass the ball. Is he really that good?
Let's all be real here, his contract and lack of rebounding, blocking shots, post defense or anything else puts a sour taste in your mouth. He should be professional in his attitude. He's been overpaid his entire career.

Just a hunch here...something tells me you started watching basketball about ohhhh...5 years ago? Including his horrid current season, Juwan is a career 46.9% shooter...That %age for the current season would rank him 33rd of all NBA PF'S and SF's...a few % points below Chris Bosch, Shawn Marion and Jermaine O'Neal. And ahead of LeBron James' 46.4%

Howard currently is #15 in the league in offensive boards per 48 minutes.

The "huge" contract you're referencing is less than $1M more than the freakin' MLE. Big whoop. And it's this season plus next and a POpt for 2008-09. Howard is the kind of class act that would retire rather than collect the POpt if he's not able to contribute. But hey...don't miss another opportunity to hate the guy...he only plays for your favorite team.

Prior to coming to the Rockets, there was only one season (well, part of another season after a trade) when he was not top two on his team in scoring, when he was playing with Dallas and they had Nowitzki, Finley, and Nash.

Personally, I think Juwan's shooting struggles is pure confidence problems. He will have them back before too long, the more he is on the court.

I mean it would affect anyone to be told at the beginning of the year he may not even be in the rotation after being the only person left standing after all the injuries last season.

Personally, of course, I love seeing Chuck start (it was a pleasant shock and surprising when he did - even in the preseason) but if Juwan starts hitting those outside jumpers again and continues to hustle on the boards and such. I say start him ahead of CH.

Chuck may be disappointed if he loses his starting spot, but he will still give you the same hustle and rebounding and under the basket pick ups off the bench as he will in the starting lineup.

If Juwan can hit some of those shots he's missing right now, he would be a huge improvement on this team.

The W's is what we all want, and if JHo can become a consistant third offensive option or even split the third option with Shane. I say lets do it.

There is still hope for Juwan. JVG has resorted to a benching for him to dig deep and somehow learn competitive basketball. As Herm says, you don't just play, you play to win the game. You play to win the game.

Something tells me that you're wrong again. He can't even beat out Chuck Hayes who has no offensive game whatsoever. I'd rather pay someone like a David Lee than Juwan that kind of money. He hardly passes the ball and plays next to no defense.

I don't care about his per numbers, I watch the games. He hangs around the perimeter too much to rebound the ball.
