    I remember the Rockets spanking Ewing, but I don't recall Larry Johnson or Allan Houston.

    Pat Riley quit in 1995.

    Both Larry Johnson and Allan Houston joined the team in 1996. Try again...

    Also, Larry Johnson had been in the league 5 years. Allan Houston, 3. Mobley and Francis are more "vets" than either of those two were when JVG got them.

    let's not forget Sprewell.

    jvg gave him a chance after he was out of the league for nearly the entire 97-98 season after he choked PJ Carlesimo, then the coach of GSW. no one thought he would return to the NBA .

    Van Gundy wiped the slate clean, Knicks went to the Finals as the 8th seed in Spree's first year with NYK.

    the only players from the 94-95 roster that made it to the 99 finals was Ewing, and Ewing was out most of the 99 playoffs.

    If the Rockets complete this collapse, and then their PG is not traded, it will be very hard to take this team seriously next year since their priority would obviously not be improving the ballclub.
