Agreed...I like him, but unless we do something like a 3 for 1 early, it will be difficult for him to make it. If Dorsey and/or Greene completely stink it up in the summer league, that might improve his chances?

The guy has hustle but with the pickup of Barry and the drafting of Greene, there doesn't appear to be any room for him on the roster.

Why does everyone assume that Greene will be on the roster on opening day? I know he is a shooter, but with bad shot selection. He would still have to work on his game in many other ways too such as defense, ball handling, game speed, etc. I've sort of always felt he would be in the NBDL at the beginning of the season, yet so many people seem to think he will immediately be a near rotation player. He very well could work his way onto the team after that, but it would take a while. Remember even Morey said he is a few-yr project on draft day.

On Harris. Like the athleticism and energy he gives. Glad he is working on his shot though. I didn't like him at the 4 for defensive reasons last year. Given how our team shoots, if he can even get to 40% from 15-ft-20 ft and 31% from 3pt that would be a great improvement and potentially enough to keep him a 3/big 2. I'm still not completely convinced on his defense though.

Because if he is not on the roster, he is not our project. First-round picks usually get signed.

I read that. I doubt Harris will become a 3/4. Harris doesnt have the game of 3.

Elite 3s will lose Harris in half step. Elite 4s will overpower Harris and shoot over him. Just cant see Harris can guard elite 3/4 in this league.

Harris is listed as 6'6. But Harris looks like the size of Deron Williams on the court. Chuck Hayes looks bigger and taller than Harris.

I'd wager $50 Mike Harris will be on the roster of the Rockets this season. He is too good.

A guy who works that hard, and has skills that translate to the NBA floor will always be welcome.

What better example can you have for the young players than Mike Harris.

Don't underestimate the Harris....he will make it.

    Harris = NBA scrub

He will have a better, more lucrative career overseas.

Loren Woods has better chance to make the roster even if the Rockets get Deke back.

Keep up the hard work Harris.

Hopefully we cut Novak or Head or any of the other players that don't produce or work as hard as you.

Only one of the Rockets games is televised on NBAtv, they are all streaming online from nba.com though.

I wonder when Mike Harris pissed in your Cheerios. "Elite" players do those kind of things to all team, thats what makes them "elites". Harris is a real deliberate player, he has to be to get any play at the four, but I don't think playing the 3 as a niche player is out of the question. Harris has long arms and has nice activity as a defender, he'll have to really learn the art of ball denial and how do challenge shots out of the back pedal without fouling. Alot of things would have to work out right for him to make this team, but its good to see him doing everything he can from his end

    LOL!

Your stuff is out of fantasy. Harris has long arms!? U r freaking kidding me.

Harris doesnt have the quickness to be 3 and power and height to be 4. The only thing Harris does good is hit the board hard. When Harris dunks, he barely reaches the rim. Harris FGAs are always easily blocked. I bet Harris will lead the Rockets in BA if he plays for 1 season.

I really dont understand why a player like Harris can draw so much love. Harris is not someone you want on your roster if you guys dream of the Rockets to contend day in and day out. Also, the Rockets are already crowded in 3/4 positions. His chance for making the team are very slim.

btw, If I am not mistaken, Harris gets a totally non-guaranteed contract. Loren Woods gets a partially guaranteed contract that has deadline on it. Think about it who gets a better chance to make the team.
