With respect to rafer's durability, a lot of that has to do with his activity on the floor. If you're main activity is jacking up shots from the three point arc ( and not making many) , there are less chances for you to be injured as compared to a pointguard who likes to penetrate. This is good for rafer individually as a player but not for the team.

And if you keep missing those shots, I don't think players will seriously challenge your shot so this also increases his durability factor. Come to think of it when was the last time you saw rafer getting fouled shooting a three?

I like Rafer do everything except shooting the rock. It could be a 3, a 2, or the horrible floater because he doesn't want contact like Steve or MJ. I think the rookie (AB) takes more contact than Rafer.

As a result, if Rafer was killer according to Moneyball there is no way they bring in 3 dudes of the same caliber.

Rafer is a more efficient shooter thank Blake, Knight, Earl Watson, Telfair, Banks, Tinsley, Claxton, Anthony Johnson, Lindsey Hunter or Udriah.

Rafer is a very good back-up or bottom rung (but not THE bottom) starting PG. I am glad I think we can do better in our PG spot, but he isn't as bad as most make him out, even in shooting. He is better than some teams have to start, and he would help most as a back-up.

Did the 93 - 95 Rockets have a guard glut? No! They had the depth for any match-ups they encountered. That's why they one the back to back. We need as much great and diverse talent in the backcourt as possible.
