I don't think he'll ever answer who he's rooting for. He never answers whether he roots for Nederland or Port Neches-Groves (big rivals, and he coached both). But I'm sure he's rooting for Houston and Nederland.
Sure would be nice to win a championship while he's still alive. I'd love to see him up there with our team as we're awarded the trophy.
Indeed... the man has a great sausage... too bad is not as good as Earl Campbell's. Does he have ANYTHING to do with the Texans? I don't know why he would be "up there with our team"... he's just a fan. Has he been named honorary anything?
GAry Kubiak was ball-boy for the Oilers under Bum Philips and he's great friends with Bum. But mostly it's because Bum is a hero to the city of Houston and a football icon to this city.
