If we traded, say, Scola, Patterson and Dalembert for Gasol right before the draft, could they the Lakers then cut Dalembert and save all but $1.5 million of his salary? Kind of like the deal where the Mavericks got Tyson Chandler for Eric Dampier's non-guaranteed deal, who was then cut. With a salary savings of approx. $6 million for 2012-13 with this deal, this could allow the Lakers more flexibility to resign Sessions and not have to amnesty MWPeace.
In no particular order: 1. Lebron James 2. Kevin Durant 3. Kobe Bryant 4. Dwayne Wade 5. Dwight Howard 6. Chris Paul 7. Rajon Rondo 8. Deron Williams 9. Derrick Rose 10. Russell Westbrook 11. Dirk Nowitzki 12. Carmelo Anthony 13. Kevin Love 14. Lamarcus Aldridge 15. Paul Pierce 16. Tony Parker 17. Joe Johnson 18. Blake Griffin 19. Josh Smith 20. Andrew Bynum Then is the group with Al Horford, Steve Nash, PAU GASOL, marc gasol, etc. NOT a top 15 player by ANY means LOL
He absolutely is. Your 16-20 are certainly not better than Pau. Perhaps Bynum after his emergence this year, but ~15th is correct.
lol, someone still wants to have Paul Gasol here? at a price of 20 MM per year? yes, you guys are as good as Morey, in some way.
i still have yet for any Gasol-doubters to come up with a legit answer to this very significant question: if we don't go for Pau Gasol, can you name a better player whos at least as attainable as Gasol? still waiting......still waiting....yea thats right, there is no one better than Gasol who we can actually have a good chance of acquiring. And Gasol = top 3 C in the league, as someone pointed out earlier in the thread.
