The thread was opened to give Steve props not respond to all these idiots who can't get over this 3rd person thing.

    Stop feeding the monkey.

Steve Francis is a class act.

I'm glad we traded SF for T-Mac, not b/c he doesn't have heart (which he obviously does), but b/c I didn't think he meshed well with the team game and utilizing a big man.

With that being said, all negative thoughts I might have had towards him as a person have completely been removed by his actions and the way he has handled himself after the trade was finalized.

Props to Stevie Franchise, hope he does well in Orlando.

Don't know why people keep wanting to shuttle this off to NBA Dish. Every Francis thread turns out to be a discussion of the Rockets. It wouldn't belong in NBA Dish at all. Maybe Hangout.

Why is Stevie complaining? He should be damn happy because Orlando is a better place to live then Houston.

If we're allowed to talk about Tracy Murray, we're allowed to talk about Steve Francis on this part of the forum. No moving it.

Why does he keep saying that we can't win with one player? Is that one player Yao Ming or T-Mac? Which one does he not consider a "player"?

Also, there is not once player on the entire Orlando team as good as either T-Mac or Ming, so does that mean they have NO players? So how does he expect to win?

This is really pissing Sane off.

I don't think he means that at all. I think he feels like he's being blamed for the Rockets 'failures' last season. So, in his own defense, he's saying it's a team sport and you don't win (or lose, it is implied) because of one guy. I guess it's similar to McGrady's "they don't know how to build no team" but with more class and better grammar. :D

Even if he's talking about last season, wouldn't he then be dissing LAST season's Yao?

    Comparing himself to Olajuwan?

I thought he was a good guy.

He is not referring to himself in the 3rd person. he is just stating that he wants to give back to the community (houston) that gave him the title "Franchise" and now become the "Franchise" on a different team.

Some people just dont let up on the hating. The man is gone, give him is respect.

That was the shot that made us Clutch City. Am I referring to us in the 3rd person? I think not.

Get over your Steve bashing AND your poor grammar skills.

How is he dissing yao? All he said was that the team lost last year because of everyone on the team, and that if the team won, it would also be agroup effort. He wasnt comparing himself to Olajuwon, all he meant was that if the Rox can tarde away a guy like Hakeem, then everyone else is fair game.

You know I'm really sick of the excuse machine know as Pro-Francis posters here.

He clearly was reffering to the trade when he said one player can't win. He was either dissing Yao or McGradfy by saying that. He has mentioned in a previous interview that we traded 3 players for McGrady, and that it's not enough. That's a direct diss to the other THREE players, as well as a diss to McGrady.

Who the hell does he think he is?

He didn't say everythign YOU are saying, he said we traded Hakeem and "I'm no different"

You sure as hell ARE different Steve, because you are not even close to the legend that is Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwan (see Hakeem video thread).

He's clearly referring to the criticism he recieved, and that trading him would solve all the Rocket's problems it is not a diss at Yao or McGrady.

I'm flummoxed - it's an article about how despite being traded, he's going to continue to support his charity in Houston - if you see that and think, "I'm going to post something that criticizes Francis because of that", kindly take a baseball bat and apply it to your noggin until unconciousness sets in, and save us all the bull****.
