Blinebury didn't have Steve to kick around anymore, so I bet he had this article half way written back in the off season.

That's the risk of making stuff up. Sometimes there's a witness on hand to expose you.

I broke my Blinebury ban to read the article. And, I'm glad I did because despite Fran's pathetic attempt to bash Francis, Francis' love for the city, his loyalty to the team, his camaraderie with his old teammates all came shining through with his quotes. Francis is a stand-up guy. Ok, the Fran-ban is now back on. I can't stand reading his drivel.

    Ditto.

I'd make that trade again in a heartbeat.

    Great talent.

Rather have TMac, sorry Steve you gave your heart to the Rockets but getting TMac just costs.

I hope Franics gets knocked on his ass tonight. It wont be by Yao Ming of course, but maybe Mutombo .... Francis has gotten really annoying.

I dont understand how people that play a damn game for millions of dollars can be so whiney....

Knock him on his ass, Deke!!!!!

What about the Rudy years with Francis? He could not run a fast break his entire time in Houston, not just the one year with JVG. His idea of running a 3 on 1 is taking it to the hole himself (ignoring his teamates) and praying he gets fouled (if he misses). He never understood how easy a 3 on 1 could be if he would PASS THE DAMN BALL!

I think its more about Grant Hill and others that are expanding Francis's game. Being in a new town, new coach, organization is probably helping him become a student again.

Rudy was to damn passive with him and never had control of him. Thats why Francis loves Rudy so much. Its like having an uncle babysit you, but he's passed out drunk on the couch, and you are free to do anything you want with no discipline.

Remember the time when we were down by 2 with 8 seconds left. Rudy told Francis to bring the ball over half court and call a time out. Instead Francis ran up the court and stopped and hit a 3. He luckily made it, but admitted that he knew what Rudy wanted, but felt he could win the game himself.

My view of Francis has remained the same for almost six years. Had I been the GM I never would have signed him, if I had been the owner, I would never have given him the max. The early scouting reports on him were prophetic. He is who he is, nothing more and nothing less. He just doesn't change much.

My problem with Francis is not that he is immature, undisciplined, and reckless, but that he doesn't seem to change and learn from his mistakes. He wants to be "the man" so much that he will do almost anything to get attention. And I still believe that he actually thinks he gets style points for degree of difficulty.

Yes he has freakish athletic abilities, yes, he can jump through the ceiling, yes, he can rebound better than Ming. It's the "buts" that get him in trouble, and, as you can see, on a new team, he is still the same ole Francis.

One thing that has changed, I saw him on TNT the other night and he looks much older in his face. I was surprised.

Francis has averaged 6.2 assists 15 FGA per game for his career.

Mac has averaged 5.3 assists and 22 FGA since he became the main man in Orlando.

How does this translate to him distributing the ball better when he takes 7 more shots per game and has 1 less assist?

Like the sytem we have now is that structured

Your hate for Franchise absolutely shocks me. The guy loved the team he played on and sacrificed his game for an entire season to try to make it work. I have no clue why you hate on the man so much

You're an assh*le, plain and simple. If your ass got relocated to someplace you hated and you was whining about it, I'm sure there'd be some starving kids wondering how a guy who makes 50 grand a year can be so whiney.

In fact this post is so stupid, I'm putting your ass on ignore.

    Love for the team?

    Super Bowl anyone?

His "sacrifice" of his game got us to the playoffs for the first time in his career. It seems to me his style of play wasn't cutting it, otherwise we would have gotten to the playoff sooner.

Francis is a bonehead, plain and simple. He may have played the game hard, but he didn't have it upstairs.

I'd say that's pretty damn good for someone who doesn't play the point.

You wouldn't happen to be one of the guys in Francis' posse, would ya?
