Exactly. If it's frustrating to us, imagine how frustrating it is to Steve himself! I love this quote by Francis:

    You know who you are.

I didnt mean catch up to the speed of the game, which I believe is where you are coming from. Certainly no substitute for game speed than a game. We are talking about two different things. Francis HAS been getting into shape without playing any games. Playing in games will help some, but proof that he is in better shape than the preseason is apparent to all that look at him.

There will probably come a point where he cant get any better conditioned thru practice, and will need gamespeed to hone and fine tune that last bit. I think he will see minutes in games before he gets to that point(he did against Phoenix). Especially if Rafer continues to shoot like the Power Dancers....

Last I checked, he won't be getting any minutes when TMAC's back. Which is disturbing, since Rafer and MJ are sucking it at the PG positions.

Um....What did that have to do with what I said?? By the time Steve is at the point where he cant get any improvements away from game time, he will more than likely be getting playing time. And if he isnt getting any playing time when he reaches that point, the PG play will be raised and we wont be in as much need from a hypothetical Stevie Franchise.

So. If play at PG continues at same level from Rafer/Mike, when Steve is ready to take significant minutes at the PG spot, he will. If PG play improves from Mike/Rafer, Steve's lack of minutes at the PG spot will not be an issue.

Well, save for a rare few who have an emotional "issue" with Steve and or Rafer and or Mike James.

    Adding to that,
Telling me that ALL NBA starters and rotations players 10 men and down started the season in shape and in peak physical condition??

Just look at Anthony Johnson, has he ever been in acceptable shape

The majority of players are in shape, yes. And Steve's had more svelte days but he's always had a little thickness and roundness to his form. Extra pounds is gonna look worse on him than Rafer.
(yeah I'm giving him that excuse :p )

Cant speak for Anthony Johnson. But some players are effective at more weight than others. Last year Bonzi was a lot heavier, but even he came into a game and got 27 points when T-Mac was out. To say stamina is not an issue with why Francis hasnt seen the court save the Phoenix game is ludicrous. It is an issue, although it appears to be becoming less of one.
