I still don't get why Francis said that he did that "on purpose." WTF?!?
See, this is what I was afraid of.... we better keep him happy somehow because
we can't risk jeopardizing the team's chemistry

Maybe Steve will be on the cut list with Novak.

I don't think he will ever get-it in this offense and his potential for distraction far outweighs his potential on the court IMO.

Steve is not sucessful unless he gets big minutes and is allowed to dominate the ball.

No,it's about the team and not Stevie Boy.

A leopard doesn't change his spots.

While I admire competetive fire, this is the same old crap.

I'm not too worried though,as Adelman can mold these guys (including little Stevie). If he can work those Jailblazer squads as well as he did then helping this team to gel and win a title or two should be a piece of cake.

My goodness, Steve gets one tech in practice and you guys are losing your minds thinking he is going to mess up the chemistry? Aside from the JVG situation, Steve was never a attitude/chemistry problem for us. In fact, he brought the guys closer together. There was always commradary on the bench and on the court with those teams.

40 turnovers for a game is not that bad, it is 20 per side. After all, there are two teams! ;)

He got a technical ON PURPOSE during practice??? There are no NBA refs during a practice, so whoever is reffing a practice game must be a local amateur. I'm not worried about the chemistry part coz he's only showing his competitiveness. However, I AM worried about the turnovers. I bet a chunk of those 40 TOs came from him and Head.

On a bigger note, I'm concerned with these turnovers.

Steve is competitive. Steve doesn't back down. Steve wants the ball in his hands when games are on the line. Steve will put his mark on this team. Steve is a leader. Some people see all the negatives, I for one and hope Coach RA does too, sees the positives. Steve for one, IMO will not back down in practice or the playoffs. He lays it all on the line. I hope this rubs off on the other players as well. My hope is that the Rockets as a whole will carry a chip on their should and not back down to anybody! Go Rockets!!!

in all seriousness, as one of francis's defenders, i've always been concerned with the whining, its childish. on the other hand, whining didn't prevent rasheed or even tim duncan from winning, so its irritating, but not THAT big of a deal.

Perhaps I should have said a Leopard doesn't change his spots but those same spots can help him find his niche/blend in nature.(they can also get one camoflaged on the bench)

I submit that playing as a 6th man mostly at the two with the kind of talent on this team that Stevie will have his most efficient season ever.

Once Stevie accepts his role as 6th man deuce we will have our own Microwave.

This is the kind of stuff I'm worried about with Francis. He's always amongst the league leaders in technical fouls.

Are we sure that we even kept stats in this game? Adelman might have just blurted 40 off the top of his head, could have been 20 in reality?

And yes, people are really overreacting.

Well I'm not worried about that. I know Francis used to talk too much to the judges. He just needs to shup up

Ya your right about averaging alot of turnovers a game. Look at the turnovers averaged by adelman's kings:

    99'-00' - 16.2 TO
    00'-01' - 14.9 TO
    01'-02' - 13.8 TO
    02'-03' - 14.5 TO
    03'-04' - 13.9 TO
    04'-05' - 13.1 TO

Expect to see high turnovers like the 99 seasons until roughly about half way thru the season until the players get used to the offense.
