If we can get Steve back into shape, I think he will be a great asset to the team. Adelman just needs to give him a chance to familiarize himself with the system. I don't think some odd minutes here and there would hurt the team at all.

What about what Francis has done is cancerous.

He said he doesn't want to cause a controversy. He has said exactly what he is doing to get in shape(running on a treadmill.) He wishes he could be in the rotation.

Where does the cancer part come in?

Wow... at least try a LITTLE harder to conceal your obvious selective editing, Aussie.

I still believe things will work out with Steve, and I still KNOW he is >>> Reefer Bricksaton.

I agree i have no idea why some people here are Francis haters? He's an h-town icon and all yall francis haters are probably boring fans that like to watch non entertaining players play like a Tim Duncan type player or something. Give a man props for entertaining the majority of us with his chopping skills and his ankle breaking skills and his i-dont-give-a-F**k-how- tall-you-are-im-gonna-still-dunk-over-you-attitude S**T!!!

Let's get some reality here, and foremost stop grouping James and Alston together.

#1 Mike James has been a better version of Steve Francis since Francis starting having knee/leg issues (since early 2005--over 2.5 years ago). Steve might be younger in age, but he has taken much more of a grind his basketball career and his body/health is not better than Mike James.

#2 Alston was innocent of a lot of that.

#3 I hope Francis stays focused on and keeps working. There is a good chance Alston loses the starting spot to James, and it would be great if Francis could provide 20 or so minutes of what James is doing now because I wouldn't be surprised if Alston is off the squad literally or figuratively if that move is made-- and we will need solid back-up PG play behind James and a bench spark.

But those thinking Steve is going to start at the PG OR be a 30 minute player need to get a grip. Not happening. But he still could be an important contributer, keep working Steve.

Yeah. It sure would suck having Duncan on this team. If the Spurs wanted Fancy for Duncan they better throw in Parker AND Ginobody.

You're right. Steve could say he loves his mother, and the SF3 haters would say something bad about that. Like why the hell he say that on TV.
