I'm pretty sure if either one of us started a poll on this the great majority would say that Rockets ball for the last 4 seasons (including that 04/05 season) was boring basketball.

You guys who think Bonzi will come back next year just because his coach will be here (maybe) must all be smoking crack. Bonzi will NOT be back. He definitely won't pick up his player option for next year because the amount is too small. Even if Adelman wants him back, the Rockets wouldn't give him anything higher than the MLE (and probably not even that much), so he won't sign.

Had Bonzi showed some heart and dedication last year, this coming year might have been the perfect situation for him. The team could've given him a healthy raise and he'd be reunited with his old coach. Instead, he'll hit the free agent market again and hope not to get embarrassed like he did last time.

You think somebody's going to pay him the way he wants to be paid (or wanted to coming into this season) after the season he had? After the way he quit at the end of the season, right before the playoffs? Yeah, right! Nobody's going to pay him significanly more than we will. He might decide it's in his best interest to find himself again under a familiar coach so he can once again try for the big contract when the year is up.

BigM, we had a good year that year, but we got destroyed by a billion points by our hated rival. that was really really bad. that exploited our weaknesses. fast forward today, we still have the same weaknesses!

a seven game series will exploit your weaknesses.

I'm late on this topic but if this goes through I'll be happy. Adelman will open up the offense for this team and maybe bring in a few more athletes. Bibby is a free agent and would hopefully consider coming here as well. We'll have to free up some cap room first though.

i think you're right, but i think there's a lot of people who have no idea what they're talking about also. i started a poll just for fun anyways but i think the rabid group of anti-jvg people will vote no regardless of their memory.

either way there is no convincing me that the rockets were anything but fun to watch that year. it was great stuff, atleast until game 7.

i'm taking this debate out of the adelman thread. go vote on my poll tinman.

this isn't about weaknesses or the final outcome. was the team fun to watch that season or was it boring? simple as that.

Strongly agree- after December that team had energy, efficiency, and excitement. We had a point guard that was a "dog" as T- Mac called him- never say die. Rockests had Depth of shooting and running the break. Wesley had his last really effective season playing, Jon Barry & JUwan- very solid contributors. Lots of fun that season. That was a very special team that was very fun to watch- we had not had that in a long time.

It's time for a change already. Any replacement seems like a good one.

Just like most of you I´ve suffered through 4 years of boring basketball and not winning a thing. If we´re not gonna win a thing then at least we can have an exciting regular season with fun offensive games.

But not only that, I think the Rockets should hire Adelman because the league as a whole is moving towards a fast pace offensive oriented game and that´s the kind of basketball that´s winning more games.

Even teams like the Spurs and Jazz are scoring 100+ points on a consistent basis. That´s what´s making them succesful on these playoffs. And who can forget Golden State? A team with just one star (not a superstar) and look what they did.

Rick Adelman is a move in the right direction.

Hope the Rockets front office are reading these ClutchFans posts cause there´s some very valuable information here.

    you should be blasted!

    with a RPG

Brown and Tomjanovich are not even close on my list, I'll rather take Carlslie who also IMO is not a good coach

noone besides Adelman would have an upside with our team...

If he signs with us we should be playing a much more attractive basketball next year...hopefully he can bring out the potential of each player, even out of Alston if he stays here which is doubtful...Les might go for Bibby right away
