i'll back this up by saying....it's the freaking NBA. what is anyone watching that would suggest that it would be more likely than not that anyone of these guys gives max effort every night??

that's a big reason why i gave up season tickets. because i could tell the team didn't care enough about an average regular season game to justify the price the organization was asking me to pay for the ticket. that was certainly my perception from being there often.

I don't want to throw bad words to you. But don't judge a person before you know him. Blame his performance, not his personality. If you do your job badly, your boss began to doubt your personality, what will you feel?

After reading these constant quotes I am going to give Tmac the benefit of the doubt. I guess that makes me a Tmac appologist. In the end of the season Tmac will be the most important Rocket, if Ron and Yao stay healthy enough to make it to the playoffs. If Tmac performs like he has in the previous playoffs the Rockets will advance against whoever they will play even the Lakers. If it requires Tmac two weeks to get back in form, I will gladly accept that. But if Tmac continues to struggle the hits will keep coming.

Did Wade let some scrub drove by for a dunk and just stand still without even moving his feet?

are you kidding? you think wade gives max effort on defense every play, every night? :)

i'm guessing there isn't a player in the league whom we wouldn't find something like that with if we were watching him every night.

What does Wade know? He's not an "extremely plugged-in person" inside the Rockets.

    Let's see,

-McGrady hasn't quit on the team any more than Yao, Battier, etc. have

-The reason the team plays harder when McGrady's not around is in no way a reflection on him

-Additionally, the fact that McGrady's absence inspires the team to play harder is the fault of the coaches, not McGrady

Does that about cover it verse?

I'm not saying that at all. I like the NBA...I love the Rockets. You love to get your little jabs in and run away, don't you? What's that about? You do this with my posts quite a bit. If I peed in your cheerios, I'm real sorry.

    Exactly,

This is not an apples to apples scenario....the only thing that is close is that Wade had to do some strength training to get back.

I wish Tmac would have called and talked to Wade BEFORE the season to hear what he went through and find out what worked so that Tracy could have tailored his rehab towards that.

Honestly, it sounds like Tracy is working out hard on strength training, and building up those leg muscles....it is the HARD WORK that will get him back.

I am glad he is doing it...I wish he would have done it earlier, but at least he is finally getting down to it.

Not running! I guess I assumed that since you constantly pump up MLB on this site. Plus the fact that you slammed the NBA in this and numerous other posts.

Houston Chronicle....Feigen talked about it in his blog....and said Macha asked the team when to temper back on the training so he can be ready to play....and the team gave him no timetable for a return.

I enjoy baseball. It's my favorite sport. It has its warts. I've been extremely critical of MLB's handling of the steroids situation.

Basketball is not my favorite sport. But I love the Rockets. It has its warts.

Honestly, he seems like one of those people that have to learn lessons the hard way. He probably would have still goofed off because he assumed he would just be able to do what he always does on the court. When that didn't happen, he got smacked with a dose of reality, didn't respond well, and now hopefully understands the gravity of his situation, and will get it together for the stretch un, hopefully...

agreed, DaDa. no matter the reasoning, tracy severely mishandled the first half of the season. I'm glad he's doing what's necessary now, too, and have fingers and toes crossed waiting for a healthy return and run towards the larry obrien trophy.
