you know there have been a lot of different threads about who are coach should be, or why a particular person shouldn't be. For the most part we have examined the pro's and cons of all candidates. I think it's obvious Larry Brown is the front runner and most likely will be the Rockets next coach barring some strange event in which Larry Brown suddenly decides Donald Sterling and co. is the place to be. With this being said, many people are worried about Larry Brown only staying a short time then bolting as he has done so many times in the past. I look at this like whether it be 1,2 or 3 years, having Larry Brown as a teacher for our younger guys like Yao and Eddie will be a positive. Larry Brown will give some direction to Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley. They will be able to elevate their games to a higher level that will propel this team into a championship contender. Let's not worry about what will happen in 3 years. Let's see where Francis, Mobley, Griffen and Yao are in 3 years before we make a judgement on whether hiring Larry Brown was a mistake.
lol. Great idea! That would be perfect! Yeah.........we'd have some rotation problems. But depth is good!
XCharged... of all the candidates for the Rockets head coaching job, how many have won titles as coaches???
let's see, negatives.... let me think... new arena? no, that isn't, new uniforms, no, not that either, what about the roster? no, we have Steve, Cuttino and Yao, so it couldn't possibly be that. you got me... basketball wise there really aren't negatives
Sorry, Ive been here long enough to know where you stand...Just picked it up without thinking.. I knew LB liked Cat.. and I think he can make our backcourt work without losing Steve or Cat.
Bryan (Houston): Larry Brown and Rockets, a match made in heaven? Fred Carter: I don't know if God wants any part of that! Larry Brown is an oustanding coach. Houston has as much potential as any team in the league to be a dominant champ for years to come. It would be a great opportunity for him. But I don't think God wants any part of that matchup.
Ungodly traffic. Paint-peeling humidity. However (a little bias here as a native Houstonian) I love the diversity, and to tell the truth, for such a large city, the people can be pretty damned friendly. Or at least I think so.
hehe okey, I have plans to visit Houston when im finished with hihg school, and the biggest reason is of course to see Houston Rockets play
Send Larry Brown over here to the U.A.E. . When he's WIPING the humidity off his glasses every 30 seconds, he'll think to himself "Well, that settles it, Houston is heaven." God, it's so hot here. I can't take it anymore.
I don't think there's any doubt that we have the premiere job opening out there. I think the info of Francis calling Brown could give an indication of what he wants. Personally, I think it's Brown or Van Gundy. Dunleavy just seems to be a notch below those guys.
