A real bummer to hear about Daniels' injury. He was having a career year.

Fingers crossed everything turns out OK for him. He's a classy guy and I hope he's back to his old self with the team after rehab.

ESPN said he's done for the year.

I like OD. He deserved to get paid, but like someone else said, I think we have to let him show us what he can do when he comes back.

Initially I didn't think/hope it was gonna be a torn ligament. When he walked off the field, right before half, he did so on his own power. As soon as they got to the tunnel, where the majority of people couldn't see him, he had one person on each side, helping him to the locker room. I saw that, and texted my brother and said, "Daniels is done AT LEAST for today." But I knew it was most likely even worse news.

Sucks for something like that to happen to him. I hope we can bring him back next year (I hate to even think about him not being on our team, but he's the type of guy I will always support no matter what team he plays for.

Casey played okay yesterday, but in no way will he come close to matching what Daniels has done this year. Daniels is just too good of a receiver. Not only that, Daniels is great after the catch. Every time Casey had a catch yesterday, he fell over just a few yards after he caught the ball. This will improve, but I don't know if he'll match Daniels. Definitely not this year.

Daniels was an important cog in our offense. We'll have to mix a lot more in now. Schaub no longer has a security blanket, so to speak, because that's what Daniels was for him.

sucks pretty hard. I think they have some decent guys to fill the void, but they will still not be as good as OD.

Was this the same knee he injured in college?

As a Texans fan: this sucks.

As a Daniels owner in fantasy football: this sucks. The dude was carrying me the last 2-3 weeks.

The only silver lining here is that we have depth both at TE and receiver - this is a gigantic blow to our passing attack, but we have the personnel to reasonable move forward.

Definitely sucks for him financially. He'll probably have to take a one or two year deal and get back to Pro Bowl form. The nastiest part is this was his last shot to get a long term deal before the new CBA - which undoubtedly will be less generous towards the players. It's a big reason why so many are acting out in hopes of a long term (grandfathered) pre-CBA contract.

Hoping for the best - he was having a killer season.

Yeah. I am always on the players side in NFL contract disputes. The sport is too violent (as well as the crappy turf that is ruining players in Buffalo) for longevity.

Looks like Casey is gonna miss the Indy game getting his knee cleaned out.
