It depends. Mike must give up the basketball adn not just pass the ball because that is what we do, he has to learn to really move the baksetball. Adelman will only yell at his players if they don't move the baksetball, you can come down in transition and shoot a three but if you don't move the baksetball you will be on that bench. Players like battie if he isn't traded will move the basketball,Tracy will move the ball, yao and scola will move the ball around so whover is the starting PG will need to move the ball.

James is ideal because he likes to pull the trigger. Adleman like players who shoot first but you have to be able to be unselfish at the same time. Mike bibby was a shoot first guy but at the same time mike was unselfish and was a willing ball mover ,Terry porter was similar in this manner as well. Now with rafer he is a set up guard but he isn't a ball mover and the big question is can he fit into a structured flow that doesn't need him to walk it down all the time and set up the offense.

I don't think this is true. I think DR and later guys like Muhuammad and Rasha were thrown at Shaq well before Duncan. Both teams avoided Oneal-Duncan matchups on the defensive side the best the could, and I don't remember either being very effective on the defensive end versus the other. But by the time Duncan got over Shaq 3 peat team I remember Shaq slipping a ton defensively--the beginning of his athletic decline/overweight period.

I would not call Alston a playmaker compared with James. Maybe he is safer with the ball and more conservative in pass first, shoot second, but not more of a playmaker or creator.

Despite the Lakers always having the two best players those Kings gave the Lakers 3 peat teams more trouble than anyone. I wouldn't even say they were ever favored, though they almost surely beat them in 2002-2003 if not for he fluke Vlade tip out of a Kobe Bryant brick that landed to a Johnnny on the Spot Cheap Shot Bob.
