    Yup, Feigan the mouthpiece again.

Notice since Rick has been here, he hasn't mentioned Rafer's name not one time.

He did however call Mike James personally. Hopefully Morey is making a deal to ship him out.

Wow! "He seldom defends players better than himself."??? Hmm...... I wonder why that is.

Well I heard their original target was Josh Howard but passed up on him b/c they wanted to save money to sign Jason Kidd. Then Dallas scoops Howard up with the next pick.

Rick hasn't mentioned a lot of players on this team right now. He didn't talk about Shane or Luther either. He's only talked about Yao, Tracy and the players who were in the news (e.g., Bonzi for exercising his option; Aaron Brooks as a draft pick; Chuck Hayes/Deke as free agents; Mike James/Scola as trade acquisitions).

People need to come to grips with the fact that Mike James is most likely not our starting PG. Either Rafer will start or he will be traded in a package for a better PG who would still start over James, and the latter option is highly unlikely. Remember in Sacramento, before the Bibby trade, Jason Williams would start games as a floor general, but Bobby Jackson would finish the games as the clutch scorer off the bench. The same will likely hold true here. Rafer will start games and set the pace, and James will either finish games at PG or possibly finish with Rafer in the backcourt by moving over to SG. Plus, Rafer will be much more effective next season by not having to play over 40 minutes every night. His scoring numbers will obviously suffer, but I expect his shooting percentages to improve slightly.

I saw about 5 minutes in that game and he looked really good actually, with all the passers they have. He looked like an elite slasher

I've seen him guard the opposing teams best big man when a stop is needed though. He doesn't do it the whole game probably because Popovich wants to save him like we do with McGrady.

Whoa. What speculation?? I don't remember saying any of that... the starting lineup posted at the end of the article is from the article itself - it was in the sidebar of the article. It's not necessarily what I think. :)

aha! the key word "save". "save me coach. save me. get me off of this bruiser before he hurts me." "save me ref. he's pushing."

I am all for rings...but didn't those Adelman teams everyone raves about lose when FAVORED to beat the Lakers in 2002-2003?

We are in a tough conference. I like our team anyways.

It comes down to the health of Yao and T-Mac. If they were healthy last year, we would of won 60 games. We got the PG. Now pray for health.

"If you're smart offensively, you can be smart defensively, when you put a gameplan together."

    Hear that Van Gundy??

Nope. His players don't need to be smart, they need to be robots.

i'm starting to fall in line with this thinking... truth be told, alston as a starter would literally be the last scoring option on the floor. at the same time, no one can deny his abilities as a playmaker. by limiting his minutes i think you greatly increase his value to this team.

You can rephrase it however you'd like, but you've already busted the ridiculous threshold.

You must not have seen any of the Laker/Spur matchups during LA's championship years. If so you would have seen Duncan guarding Shaq and Shaq NOT guarding Duncan.
