    I believe you are right.

I wonder how Greene will react when he has to sit on the bench,go to the NBDL or be told to work in practice. It's good he is thinking positive but he doesn't realize how tough it's going to get.

I only watched one game on NBATV but greene didn't give me very good impression, he was lazy on defense and take too many shots. If he cannot get his work ethic together, he cannot make in this league.

About Dorsey, also in the same game that I watched, he got tossed in a street suite, I thought he was dumb. He said he was going to be big ben in this league, but dude, you have an attitude that won't make you a big ben, who is a hard working walk the walk kinda guy, not like Dorsey who is a talk the talk guy. Remember he called out Greg Oden during his college game and got crashed?

Anyway, to me, I would stay positive, but these 2 are really projects to be in progress.

i wait till the league starts before i say anything about how Leunen will fit.

This is some of the report that novak gets at the 2006 sl.
I cant find the stats, if anyone can, please post it.

i'm not saying novak is better, i'm just saying base it on sl performance, JL3 would have been the next steve nash. Lets see how well Leunen can defend, rebound and cut etc etc while playing with the big boys. Theres got to be some reason his so low in the draft. Considering the stats that he put up in his collage years.

Dorsey is a shaky NBA talent whereas Greene's talent and skill level stand out on the court. I don't want to get into one of those "talent vs. heart" arguments but my point is we have Hayes/Harris capable of doing the exact same things Dorsey can do. Novak is the only guy on our bench that even remotely plays like Novak and that discussion is not even close considering Greene's upside and ability to put the ball on the floor.

I hear you, though. You definitely want Greene to grasp the simple concept that you have to actually work hard to succeed in the NBA. I like his attitude so far and hopefully he understands this.

You cant make an assesment on talent by watching one game! if that were the case in '05 game 7 against the mavs, you would have said "damn these guys suck"! and dorsey has an attitude we need on this team. somebody who plays with heart and isn't afraid to go after somebody. everyone says that will mess up chemistry. but one time he takes up for yao and gets a t to fire the team up i will take it!!

Well, I have read a few articles/reports about him, so I got an overall impression from "other's view", then watching this game gave me a little bit more. I agree one game is not enough, but there are only 5 SL games anyway, if you want to show up, you need to do it EVERY single game.

As to Dorsey's attitude, there are positive ones that will really fire the team up, but there are jailblazer ones that will totally mess things up. Dorsey wasn't really angry or anything, he was laughing when he got tossed, which means he was not serious about what he was doing. I cannot take that as "taking a t for your team" kinda charge, this I consider stupid.

Small things won't tell you everything, but small things will show you something about people.

I hope not. I see genuine upside in him,but coaches can be tough.

I'd trade Novak for a bag of chips and a coke !! better yet I'd just tell him to hit the hwy and not to worry about showing up to any games until he figures out that theres something in basketball called DEFENSE !!

NO offense, but I'd rather not have either of one of Novak/Leunen. Just trade either one of them + Luther for a bad of chips and we'll be the same.

This isn't true at all. What if we trade for a point-guard with his contract?

I think my comment is more intelligent than yours.

Novak basically won 2 games for the Rockets last season and has a 700K contract. I really dont mind keeping him as the 14th man.

Maarty wont the team this season and that's the plan.

U must be the stupid who wants Barrea makes the team too.

Sure, many all-star players out there. But they are not 700K and they dont shoot 3 at 48%.

Trade Novak and u get at most a 2nd round pick or trade exception. Novak will make 700K. Trade him or not, I dont really care. But it's good to have different type of 4 in your roster. Sometimes you need a basket after a stop I guess. Oh, Chuck Hayes may slam one home. :D

Donte reminds me of Gerald in that they just don't seem to get it how much work needs to be done. I guess time will tell.

And how much will Marty will cost the Rockets if kept? I don't think Morey sits in his chair thinking "well, he won us 2 games and is only 700K". Rockets seem to definitely want to upgrade the shooting big man role that Novak is in the mold of, and Marty is also.

Let me repeat "wake me up when he makes the team". Should I remind you where maarty played? It's the summer league.

Upgrade? Where is the money? If Les doesnt want to pay LT, where is the money? Get real dude.

Interesting take on Greene. Hopefully he realizes that he's a small fish in a big pond, especially alongside Yao & Tmac. Some rookies feel like they've made it and relax, others realize this is just the beginning.

As for Brooks, it's good to hear he's focusing on the passing. It's a tough adjustment to learn when to shoot and when to pass when you've played a certain way for so long. It sounds like he might be overcompensating a bit. Hopefully it will come to him in time.

hey genius, you really think the chronicle comments about Novak are a bunch of smoke? It's not exactly an A-Rod type of salary blockbuster trade that Morey is trying to do on moving Novak.

Wake up and realize that Novak is closer to the exit door then you want to think.
