I dont think they can trade Jones until Dmo is back to playing full speed and injury free. Also, whats the market for Jones? hes coming off an injury also

Same. I was wondering that too.

But looking around at available FA centers/power forwards that can bring a veteran mindset, defensive skills, good work ethic, and (maybe) decent FT shooting all for the vet min. You kinda realize it's a short list.

But yeah, at least with Chuck, the Rockets know who they're getting on a player and personal level.

He's not gonna help at all. He's pretty much worn out from playing the 5 for multiple seasons. He's washed up....

Don't forget Chuck's great high post passing. Wouldn't mind having him back as an insurance policy at the 4/5. Would also be incredibly beneficial for Capela, Dmo, and Jones. Howard can teach them how to play above the rim on defense, and Chuck can show them how to play below.

Also, the whole the nostalgic benefit :)

I'd take Boozer over Chuck Hayes.

Think about Dorsey sitting on the end of our bench - Hayes is much preferred.

Rather have Alan Williams at the end of the bench.

It's definitely going to be a matchup by matchup basis.

I could see Hayes doing well guarding Al Jefferson, ZBo and Blake Griffin, to name a few players.

Chuck Hayes is washed up..he's not the same player you remember. There's a reason he didn't get much play time.

Those saying he's washed up... Have you even seen him play in the last four years?

No they have not. They are 19 year old kids who probably never watched him the first time he was a Rocket who see his age and stats and go from there.

Love it, one of my all time favorite rockets

Extremely smart player, great leader, hard worker. Hope he rubs off on the young guys and I have no doubts that in a pinch, he can still go in there and play 10 minutes of tenacious defense

See my sig. Intelligence is the most underrated talent in the NBA. And Chuck Hayes has a truck load of it.
