LOL - of course I am......but I was talking about the boards....I actually think we will be fine there.

And for those people saying 6'8" guys can not keep people off the boards.......tell that to Rodman, Barkley and Larry Smith.

The Rockets may get beaten there, but I doubt they get abused as much as folks seem to be thinking they will.

There are bigs in our division. Who won't give our bigs trouble?

    Duncan + McDyess
    Okafor + West
    Dampier +Nowitzki
    Gasol + Haddadi + Thabeet + Randolph

    - Rodman was a freak of nature (quite literally) and completely insane
    - Barkley is a legend for a reason. Round Mound of Rebound had mad bounce!
    - How tall were other players when Larry played? I just remember him being the assistant coach when Rox won our rings.

Duncan + McDyess - Duncan gives everyone trouble....McDyess ...come on...seriously.....

Okafor + West - Neither of these guys is over 6'9" tall.......we are fine there too.

    Dampier +Nowitzki- ROFLMAO....

Gasol + Haddadi + Thabeet + Randolph - Gasol is good but Scola handles him ok, Haddadi (RU SERIOUS?) Thabeet - no offensive game...Randolph....no.....M. Gasol....yeah, but not a threat on the blocks or rebounding.

Thank you ! You just proved my point.....only ONE guy you listed was a real threat....Duncan...

You are overconfident! I think our bigs are weakest in our division. The only chance is playing fast pace ball, which is what the rockets are currently training for. But, pushing the tempo needs a excellent pg. I hope Brooks and Lowry can push the tempo when they face Paul, Parker, Kidd, and AI.

I am not saying we win all the games, or even make the playoffs, but I do think we will be in the mix.

I'm calling it now, "small ball" will get us slaughtered on the boards during several games in the season.

Also......lets not even talk about the lack of depth at the 2 guard position....

Ok, we shall see.....about the boards....

    Lack of depth ?

    Battier
    Ariza
    Taylor
    Buddinger
    Tmac

That is not a lack of depth at all....

Yea considering Battier and Ariza are interchangeable for 2-3, we got plenty of depth. Also, if RA can FINALLY bring in the up tempo Princeton movement we all been hearing about for the last few years, players like Taylor, Budinger, and Brooks would definitely flourish. RA's Kings were deadly at slashing and shooting.

But he is about as efficient as a rubber cone for D right now :(

Now how do you know that? He has not played one minute in the NBA.

Who cares if we're "fine" on the boards when other teams will be shooting a ridiculously high percentage against us? No interior defense at all combined with defensively weak point guards...I can't imagine what could go wrong!

He sucked on defense in Europe (the land of softies) and Adelman has said he needs work defensively. Until he learns how to play D, the only thing he's good for on the D end is to offer 5 fouls and plant his feet in front of people, hence about as efficient as a rubber cone. Big softies like Andersen who have trouble guarding even softies are a defensive liability until they learn how NBA players bang and hopefully learn to deal with it.

I just don't get Rick Adelman. I mean, you ask somebody like Phil Jackson the same question and they are going to grin and say they have it under control. Even if they don't have a plan, they will not let on that they don't.

Rick Adelman says, "I don't know what we are going to do..."

That has to make the players feel confident :)

And his crush on Luis Scola continues to amaze me. Especially since I have always seen Scola as a better player coming off the bench anyway. He doesn't play defense and he never met a shot he didn't like. And chemistry wise, name 1 player he works better with than anybody else on the team. He is going to be just as effective coming off the bench as he is starting and just as effective playing with Lowry as he is with Brooks.

"Your mamma is so bad on defense, even RICK ADELMAN said she sucks!"

"Your mamma is so bad on defense, she makes Chris Webber look like the Defensive Player of The Year!"

Battier- not good enough of a handle to play him consistently at 2 guard

Ariza- see above. (unless there has been DRASTIC improvement over the summer)

Taylor- 0 minutes in the NBA, excuse me for not anointing him.

    Chase- see above.

T-mac- proven.......but currently on the shelf.

So it looks like we are relying on 2 guys who really are SFs to play SG and two unproven rookies.

Yea.....that is not depth. That is scary

Dude what are you talking about??? When Scola became a starter, we started winning more games. Let's be serious here.

We're not going to get killed like everyone thinks. When Yao was out of the lineup, the team was able to do just fine.

I'm not going to say we're going to win the battle every night because we're not but some of you guys need more faith in your team.

This was the same issues that everyone was worried about last year. Everything worked out fine. Deke didn't really play during the regular season.

More faith Rockets fans More Faith...
