Steve, you need to talk to RA, tell him you still can play. What the hell is going on, doesn't Steve deserve a try?

So, McGrady sitting out practices and games due to his knee injury is a wimp and Francis sitting out due to a cold is a competitor?

By the way, Yao said to Chinese media that Steve's shooting in practice has been excellent.

Considering we haven't had our full rotation as of yet, it's understandable as to why RA wouldn't throw Francis in. We're slowly but steadily gaining some chemistry and I just don't see Francis fitting in as far as the beginning of the game. Let's say it's a blow out game, then yes, let's pop Francis in get some minutes in. I don't think we're moving on without him, I just think that considering our injury plagued circumstances, his debut is a little delayed.

Was watching old dunk competitions and didn't know the Clarence I saw when he was here was the same one in the competition lol. He was a big dude when he got here right? Or am I creating my own player in 2k8 again?

How about the first game he played last season? Funny enough, it was against the Nuggets and he played decent, 10pts, 3ast, 2stls, 4rebs.

What is interesting is that Rick mentions in the begin that you HAVE to switch rotations up when you aren't playing too well. As of right now, we aren't playing as bad as we were last year. So my assumption is that Rick doesn't change the rotation unless the current rotations have not been working. We've been winning so go with what works best.

Just because the fans want SF back, doesnt mean he is ready. The coach sees him every day in practice and knows when he will be ready to come back, if ever. RA isnt going to just sit him for no reason, if he thinks SF will make a positive impact, he will play him. Simple as that.

    Oh Snap!

I doubt that kids on the internet know more about the Rockets then.. THE COACH OF THE ROCKETS!

you're right, its Rick's job to win, that's why they pay him, not to make fans happy. To get the Ws.

Hey we all want to see Steve cause he's been a fan favorite, but if he can't help us he can't help us.

    Do people know:

Steve in Orlando got replaced by Jameer Nelson

Steve in NYC got replaced by Nate Robinson

Steve in Portland was bought out, they preferred Steve Blake.

Steve in Houston, Rafer, Aaron Brooks, you know the story

It would make a good story if he came back, but yeah the odds are low.

Agreed. Just because he's suiting up doesn't mean he's ready for minutes. Don't forget that Francis hasn't played basketball is a very looonnng time and might still be a little ways off conditioning-wise.

I said Steve needs practice.....they both should be practicing.

I do think Steve competes harder than Tmac...is that really your position?

Hard to know what Steve does at all now. But I would agree that he played with alot more fire than TMac back in the day.

I would rather have a coach that says I do not know and deal with the situation as the game goes on rather than a stubborn one that forces him decisions on everone and stops younger players from playing and get the experience they need in a situation like that.

Stevie got his chance. In fact he gets it everyday. It's called practice. If he can't crack the lineup after practice over a guy called Luther Head then what does that tell you?

Just a hunch that Stevie hangs out at practice more than he plays.

Give me a break. Fans want to see Steve and now people want to pull out the "Fans don't know more that the coaches" card? Half of the threads on this board are threads that go against the decisions of the coaches. But you don't see people using that logic on those threads. Not to mention that the same people that just played the "you don't know more than the coaches" card have said at least one thing that went against what Rick was currently doing.

You mean to tell me that you never seconded guessed Rick? He always made the correct decision? My ass. If that's the case, why do we have discussions on anything? We don't know more than the coaches so we no longer can have opinions on Rick's coaching. Ok, gotcha. Just make sure to apply that logic to everything and not just threads that involve Stevie Franchise.

i feel we're not treating steve right. if we're not going to play him, let's figure out a way to let him play for another team.

steve has said he still wants to play in the NBA. he's no marbury.

I think our coach is the guy who plays the players basic on the practice. Luther seems to be very good during the practice, so he is having a chance rather than Francis. The problem is that this team lost almost every game except the Spurs game when Luther has played. I do not know the Francis's condition, but I will play Wafer more than Luther.

Very misleading title by the Chron. Nothing in the article mentions anything on Francis. I think he's still rehabbing the injury. Adalmen is so different from JVG though. Sometimes it seems like he wakes up and coaches basketball. He has such a carefree attitude, but as long as we're winning, nobody's complaining.

People need to chill. Steve will get a chance when he's ready. As of right now, all the reports are that he's barely had a chance to practice with the team.

    Patience...
