He just isn't ready to play. I understand he needs to be given an opportunity to play, but who here has seen Francis play a decent game since the Phoenix game last year. I think RA knows what he is doing.

Someone would have to tell me but I haven't even seen any news of him even practicing. It doesn't mean he has or hasn't but I just havn't seen any report of it. And certainly no "progress" reports of how he is coming along. That has kind of been the black hole of all this - too little information on Steve - whether from himself or the Rockets. And whenever he speaks it seems we get the most positive spin on his return. When the Rockets speak it is "we haven't seen him in practice".

I was looking for today to see his return but there is just no info on him. Even the article mentioned doesn't even mention his name.

Except for the fact that RA is just as stubborn as JVG when it comes to sticking with his preferred rotation. Didn't he bench Mutombo last season, playing Landry Hayes and Scola as backup C and not giving Deke any minutes? If Yao Ming hadn't gone down in the 2nd half of the season we wouldn't have even known Deke could still play.

I also remember Kevin Martin and more prominently Gerald Wallace rotting on the King's bench during the last days of Ra's tenure there. Outside of Artest and Wells I don't see anyone on their roster who could have played better than either of those two.

Why would artest say how good francis has been performing if he isn't ready? Maybe Adelman will surprise us! I hope!

I think SF is done. It's unrealistic to think he will contribute this season.

If SF is done as a Rocket, he'll have a hard time making it in the league. Guys like Bonzi, Harris and Snyder are playing in China now and they were healthy and playing in the NBA before not being signed. SF may not be ready to play now but sometime before now and the end of the season he needs to play to earn a contract somewhere for next season.

Steve isn't even practicing as of two days ago because....get ready....he has another cold. That's just another episode in the Stevie Franchise comeback that never was. He's done.

Come on, 16 year old Clutchfans, think like adults for a second. Professional adults usually do what is best for their jobs. In Adelman's case that would be winning.

I'm am not a SF3 fan only, i just think when he is healthy he can bring a much needed dimension to this team. It is only a hope but until he is gone, we can use him!

The only thing I am sure of regarding Francis these days is his competitiveness....if he ever got a chance, he would be the most competitive player on the floor.

Now, that being said, I think his career is probably over, and his skill level has deteriorated so much that he is not even being considered.

But, at least he is a competitor, and who knows...maybe he will work on his game and get some of it back....but sitting out due to colds 2 of the last 3 weeks is not a good sign.

    Practice? We talkin bout practice?

    Steve needs practice.

    Thirded.

People here act like he's our savior and will come in and contribute positively but he won't. Not yet at least, maybe not ever again. As much of a big fan I am of him, Steve Francis has left his good playing days in Orlando.

Its time for the chants, We Want Steve!! Lets force the rockets staff and management to at least comment on the situation of why Steve is not out there playing. Any reporters out there need to get to the bottom of this, ask Coach Adelman or lets go ask the source Steve Francis himself.

We want Steve!! We Want Steve!! Lets chant from the opening tip.
