Putting Brooks back in the starting line-up will only ruin the defensive identity that they have built in his absence. He won't be so much of a defensive liabilty coming off the bench where his scoring is sorely needed.
Defensive identity? We still suck at everything D related. Not to say that Lowry isn't a superior defender, but still.
They play better defense because of Lowry being a two way PG. Having that extra defender in the starting line-up has given them a slight defensive edge since Brooks's absence.
obviously we're not like the jvg-era defense, but the last few games our defense has improved tremendously, especially in disrupting passes. kevin martin is even getting defensive rebounds!
I cannot post new threads but I want to get this out there... Potential 8th Seed by Jan. 1st After an unforeseeable 0 and 5 start and only winning 5 of their first 17 games. The Rockets have the potential and favorable schedule to be the 8th seed by Jan. 1st. The Rockets close out the calendar year against sub .500 teams including Kings, Warriors, Clippers, Wizards and Raptors with the Heat being the exception. If they take care of business by at least winning 5 of 6 and help from teams in front of them (i.e. Portland and Memphis) losing. The Rockets have the chance of finishing the calendar year with a 16 -16 record, the 8th seed and the right to control their own destiny throughout the rest of the season. Give CREDIT where it’s due!!! First off, THE PLAYERS deserve most of the credit for being resilient and sticking it out through the storm. Mustering up quality wins over the last twelve games (Lakers and Thunder most notable). Not pointing the figure at one another to play the blame game. That alone goes to show the veteran presence in the locker room by Miller, Battier and Scola. Next, RICK ADELMAN and staff for finding the right combination that increase everybody production on the team. Lastly, DARYL MOREY for not blowing up the team after the 0 for 5 and firing Rick Adelman similar to what happened in New Orleans last year with Byron Scott. Was There a 7’6” Eclipse??? Being that the Rockets slogan for the 2010 – 11 campaign is RED RISING, one have to believe that a certain 7’6” individual who came off major surgery that cost him the entire ’09-10 season and haven’t played with the new team in the same amount of time could adapt to the new style of run and gun. Unfortunately we found mid week that Yao Ming would be sidelined for the duration of the season and leaving a void on the court. Even though he is out for the season, the team lacked an identity when he was healthy to play (24 minute limit and no back to backs). Ready For Re-Launch!!! In the last 15 games the Rockets have shown fight and willingness to keep pushing to get back in this playoff race. As Rockets fans we should stand behind this team and cheer them at homes games and scream at the T.V. when they’re on the road. RED NATION STAND UP
I think he should come off the bench so he can take it easy in to the rotation.. I really hope Terrence Williams gets to play today, his a good read and react player just of off instincts alone, and his vertical quickness will allow him to recover on missed rotations. So they should definitely give him a run today, we have nothing to lose..
I'm excited to get AB back. It will be interesting to see what kind of spark he can provide on the second unit, but after a long time off it wouldn't be unexpected for him to be rusty.
please AB, find your good spots and shoot it. I dont want to see any 3's 5ft behind the 3pt line with a triple team in your grill. Cherry pick like kevin martin and I would like you (smart offense)
