I wish he played for the Texans also. Sounds like a great QB...

    "Big hands".

Explains Ariza's utter lack of touch around the basket too. His small hands make it difficult for him to control the ball in traffic and when he gets in the air.

    Great find, thanks!

“As much as I like his hands, I think his footwork is more impressive,” Hinkie said. “He does what very few players in the NBA do, which is play off the wrong foot. The average player chops his steps. In our league, 90 to 95 percent of the players do that. The ones that don't have a huge advantage. That is what Steve Nash does.”
Nash shoots such a high percentage without Brooks' speed or jumping ability because his footwork enables him to get those shots without needing those attributes. Brooks believes his similar footwork could eventually lead to similar results.

    Steve Nash, hmm...

    Jonathan Feigen is.......

I mean I try to like the guy, but he's not good at breaking storys about the Rockets. Mark Berman or the guy from Yahoo is always breaking stories before he can. When your only job is to cover the Rockets, this is simply unacceptable.

Yeah and the narrow shoulder explains his weak upper-body strength. Not that good a frame to put muscle on.

There is a link to a video interview Jonathan did with Aaron Brooks over to the side that's worth a view.

Have you guys seen Aaron hold the ball with one hand and just swing it around? He does that sometimes. Kid is gifted.

If he could only pass the ball and run the break properly like a PG should. Average court vision but great shooter. I would not buy the hype. The Rockets are fine with Lowry in the PG position but an exceptional PG along the likes of Parker, Williams and CP3 would, of course, be most welcome. Brooks is a SG in a PG's body.

lol. "Emerges". We have Shane Battier, Trevor Ariza, and Chuck Hayes bricking from every angle. This is like that old skit where 5 people are lined up and another guy asks one of them to volunteer for a dangerous mission. Four step back. Number five guy? Tag. You're it.

That being said, Brooks can be a good gunner, but his decision making when being doubled still needs to be improved. There are end-game scenarios where I still get nervous when he's got the ball and isn't shooting.

    Well that was obvious.

I wonder if AB will still be the "creator" on the team when and if Tracy is traded. I just wish we knew what Daryl was looking for and what position is his main priority.

We need a big, but we definitely need a volume scorer, IMO.
