I can appreciate where Bonzi's coming from in terms of being frustrated and certainly JVG, like any coach, isn't above criticism. But I have absolutely zero respect for Bonzi. Like someone said earlier, if you want to be treated like a professional, act like a professional. Juwan Howard is a professional. Shane Battier is a professional. They stay in shape, come ready to play, and are productive team members.

In contrast, almost everything I've read about Bonzi suggests that he is an immature whiner and an unreliable team member. In my opinion, he has rarely put himself in a position where he should be criticizing anyone.

Looks like Bonzi is coming out of bench relieving Tmac. Can't wait to see this season to start!

I remember one time after one of Bonzi's incidents on the Jailblazers a reporter asked him if he was concerned how fans would react. His reply was he didn't give a ******* **** how the fans felt about him. That was a rare moment of public candor for him because he is normally savvy with the media when on camera. Since he's a Rocket, we'll have to hold our nose and hope he helps us win.

I'm not surprised Little Napolean supporters did not respond to this insightful post. Probably too busy coming up with more cheap shots for VSPAN.

there's a difference between coming into camp a few conditioning pounds overweight (T-Mac) and coming in disguised as Oliver Miller.

nice comparing the situation to the most dominant player of all time though.

Sigh. Just shut the hell up already Bonzi.

Get your fat ass in shape and play basketball instead of griping about everything BUT basketball.

    P.S.

Get rid of Thunder Thighs as well.

Not this guy. I still give mad props to JVG, and I wonder what he could've done with this roster.

By no means am I a JVG fan, I am a long time season ticket holder and last year my seats were two rows behind the rockets bench and I probably spent half my time screaming in frustration at jvg. With that said, he definitely deserves better than to be cheap-shotted and demeaned by the likes of an uncommitted, money-hungry scrub like Bonzi. Regardless of what you think of jvgs coaching one thing not one rockets fan can question was his committment and desire for winning regardless of how he went about it. Can a single one of you say the same about bonzi?

QFT. How convenient that the pro-JVG camp just ignores this post.

Yes, we said in anothr thread that we should stop post the JVG's issure, but the sport writers are doing this everyweek. I feel that JVG should get a better treatment than that.

Nobody's ignoring the post. Regardless of anything the two of you say for the majority of last season JVG was the leading COY candidate and was basically robbed. So from that to say he doesn't deserve to coach in the NBA is a little bit ludicrous. I thoroughly agree that he was completely outcoached in the playoffs, and hold him primarily responsible along with yaos inability to be effective against boozer as the reasons for his loss. Regardless of this though it is possible to be the wrong fit for a particular team without being a horrible coach. By this logic everyone's golden boy from the previous season Avery Johnson also shouldn't be coaching in the league since he was thoroughly outcoached and dominated in one round of the playoffs as well.

Bonzi is not shaq or tmac.

28 games and 21.1 mins per game is not barely too considering he was injure for part of the season.

Since everyone seems to think this quote is so telling, can someone tell me the source? I'm guessing it is sina.com, but I'd like to know.

As for the Bonzi quotes, I think a lot he had to say was accurate, and yet it seems like he completely doesn't get it and it's no wonder he was useless last season.
