if he wants to try and come back, good for him. it doesn't hurt the rockets any.

at worst it's an ending contract to trade at the deadline for a player to put us over the top.

Him trying to come back doesn't hurt us, and if he does make it back, even a shadow of his former self, what a boost!! He's the type of player that can make the difference between a decond round exit and a championship team. Come back Bobby!

Instead of having the spot for Sura, we need one more 4/5 guy like Haryasz (Hairy-ass?). He can spell some breathing time for Yao/Deke and gives us 6 fouls/game against opposing big men. We have enough position players with the same role that Sura plays, maybe not with the same intensity, but with a surer health issue. Plus, Sura is always a fall/bump/trip away from a career ending injury. I'd rather have a young, healthy big guy who backs up Yao/Deke. Here is a short profile on Haryasz from nbadraft.net

    NBA Comparison: Cliff Robinson

Strengths: Long, fluid four-man with an inside/outside game and solid leaping ability ... Sweet shooting touch for a post player ... Can face the basket and hit shots out to 15-18 feet with consistency ... Finesse player with good feel for the game ... Has a number of nifty moves around the basket ... Freakishly long wingspan gives him a big advantage on shot blocks and rebounds ... Big soft hands ... Runs the floor well ... An above average free throw shooter ... Has shown solid improvement each year at Stanford ... His skills offensively have become a strength ... Great attitude, very passionate about the game of basketball ... Despite being 22 on draft day, appears to have a good bit of upside left to develop ... Passing ability is solid, nothing special ...

Weaknesses: The biggest concern with Haryasz is his lack of body strength ... Decent toughness, but he shies away from contact (especially offensively) due to his lack of strength ... Gets overpowered by strong post players ... Needs to add another 15-20 pounds of muscle ... May not have the body type to add much more bulk ... Ball handling is decent, but he's not a player that can create shots for himself off the dribble ... Because of Stanford's lack of bigmen, Haryasz is forced to play inside more, which limits his ability to show off his outside touch ... Loses rebounds and scoring opportunities due to not having a body built for physical play ... His body has developed in the past 4 years, but the big question is how much stronger he can get ...
