I just posted a second ago and it took me back to the forum where you had this post and the first thing I thought was "Crap, I accidentally posted in the D&D" lol. Nice analogy, though...
Or instead of an all-or-nothing approach, Adelman could have him play from the third or fourth game onward. Maybe that would disrupt the chemistry?
he needs to come back as soon as possible, he's getting payed right? he's recovered right? well then, what's the problem? RA? DM? insurance?
Everything is PR. Come on now, this is a business. Winning helps PR, McGrady hurts it. If he can come back and help with winning, then it's a PR success. If he comes back and the team goes downwards, then it's a nightmare. Right now, the organization is winning the PR battle because rightly or wrongly, Mcgrady is seen as the bad guy and I don't see that changing this year.
what i just said on the board. i saw the video about a week ago, week in a half ago posted on skillzlab.
i will be shocked if tracy plays regular season minutes for the rockets this season. i think a lot of things would have to go wrong for that to happen. no matter what the title says, this article is PR. there's no new information here, so why say any of it other than to smooth over the rift between tracy and the organization that has been highlighted in the media? maybe the (true) perception that tracy is a diva and a cancer is hurting his trade value . . .
I agree. He will be coming off the bench anyway so these two games he would be able to prove if hes ready or not.
Tracy does PR, he just does it very very badly. It seems to be a common thread with Adidas basketball pitchmen: Tracy: often puts his foot in his mouth and does things to put himself in a bad light Arenas: his blog was great PR when he was healthy, then he got injured and put up that blog entry about buying a million dollar pool, then he got injured again. KG: Everyone felt sorry for him when he was losing, now people just seem to hate his guts. Duncan: the best PF ever and a 4 time champ, but you don't ever hear his name, where is his PR? The one guy that Adidas is doing well with is Howard, hope they can keep it up.
he's going to do well when he gets back. the only thing is he'll lose his quickness and won't be able to play on the perimeter all the time (ala 3pt line going 1-on-1). and that's a great thing b/c it will force him to play in the post or high post more and thus increase his efficiency  and if (i don't think so) he indeed stay with the team for the rest of the year b/c we can't trade him, we're going to get out of the first round. more damage if we can trade for a big man
easy, i'll say the same thing i've been saying for the last few years. he's a spoiled brat primadonna selfish uncommitted short-sighted waste of talent who only cares about himself. if he "comes back and kills" its only further proof that the only reason he hasn't had a more successful career as a rocket is because he wasn't working hard enough, and wasn't committed enough. now that he has a contract on the line he wants to work hard? please. anyway, point is, very few people hate on him for his play. he gets hated on for everything else about his commitment to the game, the rockets, and his team.
Well sorry to break it down to u but he is on the rockets and the rockets made it out of the first round so he should be 1-7
Well, technically he was on the roster active or not. But i'm pretty sure the mocking will stop once he gets passed when he's active.
