I think it's a good move. To have Barry, Landry, and Brooks coming off the bench we have quickness and shooting, which we sorely needed last year. Mario Elie was a nothing pretty much when he came to houston, but became a vital part of our two championships. We know Barry's capabilities, so to believe he can fill that Elie type of role is not far off. You can play Barry at the 1, 2, or 3 which is huge. This enables RA to work Brooks, Novak, and possibly Greene into the rotation more. We have shooters on the team we just need the right mix of players to get them on the floor to match up. I know this team healthy last year had a chance of making it to the finals. A decent bench last season could have gotten us to the 2nd round without Yao. Last seasons rookies should be better this season, add Barry to bolster our bench, throw in a couple of new rookies that may crack the rotation, and whatever else Morey has planned, and we are serious contenders. The big if to me is not whether we land that 3rd all-star, rather if we can stay healthy. I don't know if that homerun type trade is going to happen, but I believe this current squad has a good chance.

big trade is around the corner,as morey has stored nearly 20rosters on our list,he will be confident enough to make a several for one deal.I'm afraid bjax ,luther and Woods are to be traded. However,i don't think artest will be his target because the rockets never want a troublemaker. morey may as well take hinrich or Mo home,as our problem is at PG position.Bilups may be a good choice but pistons will not be willing to trade even a bad cotract for more bad contracts.BIlups is a great PG though,he is 31yrs old and has a long contract, taking him home is a risk .Mo is cheaper although he seems less clever yet. What's important is that mo is still very young who can be better with adelman 's guidance in the future.Believe it or not ,mo is the best pg we can take home. After all ,what we can offer as bids are just bjax, luther or any other bad contracts. considering mem's poor situation right now, morey will never trade battier ,which is really a gamble.

trade several useless guys for a potential young man, why not?

    DeSagana Diop........

Update: After being traded from Dallas to New Jersey late last season, Diop has returned to the Mavericks after signing a five-year contract Wednesday, the Associated Press reports.

damn. I guess I can quit posting non-stop about this guy. Oh well. I really wanted him, but at least Deke will be around for another first round exit.

We had Patrick E. and Deke to develop Yao, who should come now? veteran center at the end of his career like Alonzo?

Yao will be 28 when the season starts, and it will be his 7th year. He's now a veteran player. We shouldn't be talking about needing to "develop" him any longer.

I agree. He's had time to develop. Time to have a healthy season.

I bet with Dorsey and Barry, the Rockets will have 60+ wins next season if Yao and T-Mac stay relatively healthy.

Even without Barry, I feel we are a 60 win team if Yao and T-Mac stay healthy. But we have no problems winning games in the regular season, its the playoffs that always gets us. Barry to the rescue!
