That "pouting oaf" happens to be a far superior paint defender than Dmo, who will already be getting minutes at the 4.

Not to mention, once Asik is traded there's no way to know if Dmo gets minutes at the 5. It's quite possible that Morey gets a back up center back as part of a trade package.

He missed 2 games, both of which we won. If Asik plays hard the rest of the time he's here, then no harm, no foul.

His agent was the idiot making his trade requests public to begin with. Something tells me he isn't really giving the greatest consultative advice, and he's probably just taking orders.

And yes.. that would come from Morey. They went through Hell with Royce White all last year, this is chump change. They are more than willing to draw lines in the sand, and suspend players without pay.

Hate to compare Omer to Royce cause Omer played his heart and soul for Houston all last year and Royce was a scam artist, but that situation and the T-Mac situation before hand gave them pretty good experience dealing with players that try and force their way out, and think they can just not participate and still get paid.

Judging by some of the comments on this board you would think he was underrated. "Rondo has no jumpshot" I didn't know not having a jumpshot determines your whole game. What about his passing, defense, rebounding, running a team? He has more positives than negatives.

Finally Asik sees the light. Play extremely well with his 15~20mpg, help the Rockets win, and teams will pay Morey value for him and everyone wins.

Perhaps the simplest explanation is that he was just taken down hard by the flu or whatever seemed to infect many of the Rockets players over the last week. Seems reasonable to me. Maybe we fans are reading much to much into the situation?

Rondo has no place on a team that requires good three point shooting from the wings. A ball dominant point guard is the last thing that you would want to pair with Harden.

 

They should still rotate at the 4 while Asik backs up Dwight. If they resort back to TT, I will want to die.

 

so worried about Asik's effort level for this game.

I just don't expect a player who's got his mind set on leaving to even care about winning games for the rockets.

Asik is a standup dude and all... but he's also the same guy who asked for a trade...twice.

 

And what else would you expect journalists to do other than stir the pot to get web hits? That is where their salary comes from.
