It's clear from the photo and the last angle shown on the YouTube vid that Artest didn't make any contact with the head of Gasol. Artest's arm hit ball and Gasol's forearm and that's it.
Cause just because he didn't get all ball and it was Artest, it MUST have been a foul with intent to injure the opposition player and worthy of being ejected. That is absolutely disgraceful, not only tossing Artest, but still leaving it as a flagrant-1. If ever someone's reputation preceeds them, this is the case. Unfortunately Ron will NEVER get the benefit of the doubt (as has been proven twice in the three games this series thus far).
What about the NBA reviewing the refs for their bogus decisions and incompetence in this series with the possibility of suspensions being handed out.
What about that Battier blood fest in game one...no foul was called and I believe he was hit in the head!
In fairness, the refs may have called it as the game was clearly decided and you have to wonder why even to make a hard play on a ball. At the same time, what on earth was Gasol doing going for a dunk in a decided game? Just dribble out the clock.
