Why do I get the sense that the idea of trading Yao gives the OP a frothy little rush os pleasure?

    GET OVER IT.

Have said this a thousand times, but it bears repeating: As long as Yao plays in the NBA, he WILL be wearing a Rockets jersey. Period. Stop getting yourselves all excited with your imaginary scenarios where he might be traded. Just stop.

Don't believe it until i hear from Morey's mouth. Notice the author did not have the quotes from Morey about saying Yao is touchable??? That's why i say the author is misleading.

I would bet you a million that Morey would never ever say Yao is touchable and that trading him will be an option.

i agree. if morey can trade yao with another yao who has better health track, he will definitely do it. why not?

unfortunately, getting a player of yao's caliber is almost impossible to do. otherwise, morey won't say rox will bet on yao's return.

realistically, no one would trade a superstar for Yao coming off a year long hiatus. Morey's just saying "if I get offered Wade for Yao, would I take it? sure"

I think Yao for Bosh is possible if Yao and Toronto can reach an agreement of Yao's next contract. I can see Toronto offer Yao the max.

no, it is impossible. when morey talked about getting another big, he said yao is still a major part of rox winning big.

What crazy manager would trade a superstar for a player who is injured prone, approaching 30 years of age????

Some of you guys still think Yao circa 2005. That player is long gone, replaced now by a big question mark.

Yao is going to retire as a Rocket. That will be in about 2 to 3 years. He will only play about half of that time. This is why imo they should look to this years draft to pick a young center with good height. This draft has a few good centers. I think Taylor could be used in a package with Ariza/Battier, Anderson and Jeffries + a 2012 1st round pick for Bosh and fillers. Then, use the MLE or the LLE or whatever to sign Brad Miller. This is one heck of a scenario, i know. By the way, is it at all possible for the Rockets to use cash considerations for a 2nd round pick in this years draft?

I have read this statement by morey before, that no one is untouchable.

But doesn't this contradict his statement of doing everything possible to keep lowry and scola?? Am I missing something or does dm not make sense here? Are Scola and Lowry touchable after all?? Color me confused

Dude, no way in hell under Mr. Alexander do we trade Yao. As long he is in the NBA, he will always wear a Rockets uniform.

What Morey means is that if a player like Lebron became available he'd trade his @$$ so fast people would forget Yao was ever on the team.

Other than that, Yao is not going to be traded. He brings in a lot of revenue, but I think the real story to this is that Morey will be after big names with big game.

he said in his interview with 1560 that as gm, he has no choice but say it in this way. in reality, it is a truth. did rox trade dream at the end of his career?

assuming that there were a center who is better or as good as yao and he were more endurable than yao. morey would trade yao for sure.

I'd really hate to see Yao go. He's grown to become my favorite player in the league to his kindness and heart. He's a great teammate and has just been unlucky. I would really like to see him retire as a Houston Rocket, hopefully bringing a championship to Houston before he does. And the way Morey is assembling this team, I could see it happening.

Yes, and Yao will play for Mr. "7-secs-or-less" D'Antoni. I bet Yao's legs will last 7 seconds before it gives out again under D'Antoni's run-and-gun system.

And that is why I said he is most likely not going to be traded.

    So miss me with that.
