Why start with this? But, seriously...the spring with Stevie learning how to earn it will be the EXC!AMAT!ON PO!NT on the signing, on the season!
I agree. We could win 47-56 games with any one of 5 guys starting at PG this year (Alston, James, Francis, Brooks, Lucas). The best thing they can do is make Rafer look like a starting PG again, then trade him as fast as possible. Hopefully, that is what is happening, because I don't want to have to make that same post 82 times this year. We could actually start planning for the future rather than patching holes like we have been for the last 10 years. Bonzi will probably not resign next year. James and Francis won't be around forever.
Hey man have some faith. From what we have seen, Steve has yet to lose his athleticism. Because that put back dunk was a throwback to his rookie days.
And he was quite proud of himself for it, though it was actually a foul and worth zero points. But at least he made the highlight real, which is what's important. /hate
I agree with your opinion. Over last 3 preseason games, Adelman was just sticking with same starting lineup for testing. He will name one of 3 guys as starters for read competition, I guess.
It's interesting that 90% of the people hate Rafer so much after we lost to UTAH, but now look at him as our only PG solution? No matter how Rafer did in preseason still didn't mean anything to me. MJ and Steve has more talent than Rafer, period!
francis had 6 pts 3 assists in 18 min on two shots sat. he didn't play well? I watched the game. the offense never slowed. and everyone is talking about alston, he still can't shoot. the most effective pg was brooks.
it's so funny to see everyone kissing altons butt now. i still saw like 2 tear drops which of course didn't go in. and once he starts doing that when it really matters pepole will go back to their normal "kill alston now" selves. does anyone think francis is going to not make the roster or play 3 mins? there's too much politics and money involved to decide a roster just on talent.
I find it unbelievable that we'd have the same starting 5 that lost in the first round to the Jazz. Unbelievable. Steve buried on the back of the bench??? Rafer starting? Is that really our best option, all of this off season and we're still starting the same five? Unless guys like James and Steve, along with Scola play major roles, I can't imagine this team going all that much further. The problem last year wasn't that we needed greater depth, it was in our starting 5.
are u insane? our starting 5 had the BEST +/- in the entire league, while our bench scored 0 points in the playoffs. do the math, or look at the stats, they obviously dont lie. we had the WORST depth in the league.
