Ariza will be here next year. Might as well go through some "growing pains" with him this year. He is going to be a vital piece of where we are going to go with this roster in the long haul. Reason why they won't give up his minutes to McGrady: #3 won't be here next year
are you actually serious??? youre basing his shooting percentage off of 6 games playing 7 minutes each. how about if we take all those games where ariza shoots 1-10 and only avg those up?
now that tmac is sitting out the next two games, adelman is proven right. he didnt want to mess with chemistry, he didnt want a distraction. this is exactly what's started to happen since management forced him to showcase tracy.
Trevor Ariza is not an ideal component of the Houston Rockets, and should figure into the future plans of this team. His contribution has proven to be limited, and is frankly suited for a team with its talent concentrated among 2 or 3 individuals. The Cleveland Cavs, Lakers, Spurs and Boston Celtics come to mind.
bingo. this year is about next year. the team knows we're not winning a championship. even making the playoffs was a long shot. even if tmac could help the team win (and thats a big if at this point) what would the team gain by making the playoffs and losing in the first round again? i'd rather give the minutes and FGA's to brooks, ariza, landry, lowry, and bundinger... hell even JT... and i think the team feels the same way.
he's not a great fit this year because this year's team needs players who can create. next year he will be a perfect fit next to yao.
Morey has been quoted in saying that Trevor will fall back to the 3rd option on offense next year. Obviously Yao will take his place once again when he gets back and who knows who will be the second. For this year, it's about getting Trevor acclimated into the offense and in the team. It's ridiculous that you say his contributions are limited and that he doesn't fit. Those tips on defense followed by a fast break dunk most not count for you. He does fit, just not ready to be the primary guy yet...
true, but this year was supposed to be a training year for him. give him the minutes, the shots, the ball in his hand like he was a primary guy... and just see if he gets any better. so far, not much lol but he's a damn good role player if others create for him.
Certainly you cannot expect a team, featuring Shane Battier and Trevor Ariza playing major minutes, to be successful. Too many redundant skills, in my opinion, to be an ideal combination. Ariza being moved to a contender in exchange for a young large man, would be just wonderful.
No, but Budinger could move into the starting spot opposite Trevor and Shane coming off the bench and it would work out just fine. DD
If Chase continues to progress. Expect to see him and Trevor in the starting lineup next year or the year after depending on if Battier is moved before his contract expires. Trevor will be around longer than Shane.
Budinger is not ready. His defense is much worse than Ariza's and oh by the way have you checked his shooting percentage? He also looks pink.
He does look pink, but his shooting percentages are not great but decent...better than the other wings...and he adds rebounding and some creating. Agree on the not ready, that will have to come with time......but I think he is the starting wing of the future, probably not until next year, but will be here for a long time. DD
