Uh, no, it doesn't.... It only proves that a guy shooting .368 and not playing defense doesn't deserve to play. It only proves that they want to see what a healthy Taylor can do..... Tracy flat out blew it....he could have played hard, he just didn't.... Big surprise. DD
I am not making this stuff up. I agree that they are showcasing him to trade him but again the minutes and when he plays is not a coincidence. I hope you get to see the light one day.
Yes you are making this stuff up, unless you have some proof that insurance has some mythical 8 minute limit...then you 100% making it up. DD
I don't need to prove anything to you. I have a lot better resources to make an educated guess about all of these things.
Pretty soon, you will convert everyone on clutchfans. Just keep working at it. We NEED to expose TMac.
The only way for tmac to be traded is to be played 15-20 mins not 6-8 mins. I don't really care if he stays or goes but if all you haters want him gone, you're going to have to watch him play 20 mins. a night.
If I thought we could win a ring next year without a guy like t-mac i'd be all for it. I don't love t-mac, i just think we need his skills in the 4th qtr of playoff games because i haven't seen Brooks, Ariza, or anyone else be able to break down a defense consisternly or play make. In the regular season i see a lot of offensive break downs including turnovers by our key playmakers. This will get worse in the playoffs when defense intensity increases. Who will be the guy to break down the defense. I just don't think the Princeton Offense works to do that in playoff games. I've not seen it effectively do it. Sac-town didn't get good until they got mike bibby - a guy that could break down a defense. Our team has who? Brooks has proven he can break down a defense but not when he gets double teamed and then he has problems. This is what they will do in the playoffs. So who will do it?
Where are you getting this princeton offense stuff? Who ever said that? I want a star player too, I just want one that is more efficient and works within the system. And, no, I don't think that is Ariza..... DD
Unless, he converts to the other side, which is fully plausible. Look, I agree he didn't play that well, but you can't judge by the statistics what he did. Again, your the man that's always clamoring, statistics aren't a measure to prove ones worth (the main argument in bringing down McGrady's stats, from say 2006-2007), but when the argument suits you, stats are fully able to be used. And in those games, in the first couple, he's showed solid defense, which slipped off as he became more offensively aggressive, but in general moved around lot more than he did last season. Judging statistics on a 7 minute 35 second stretch is dumb, when you haven't played professional basketball over a year. I don't know what else could be said to get it through to some people's heads. Nobody can prove he played well, because the statistics aren't in his favor, but nobody can prove that he didn't play hard, because there's nothing to back that up. In terms of defensively, it's moreso not being quick enough to rotate back when he's trying to double down low, which shows more being confused in a defensive scheme than lack of effort. Because we saw against Melo, and Dirk, that his man defense when matched up one on one was OK.
That's Adelman's offense. That's what he put in place in Sac town and what he's been trying to put in here in Houston. The Nets run it as well - you can see how well it works for them tonight. It's a decentralized offense - based on off the ball movement, ball handling, and all the things you espouse. Anyway, who is this star that can break down the defenses and get to the rim, hit the J, or make the pass? I just say, until you find that guy, you have to keep t-mac.
Did anyone see him play the Clippers? 10 points in his eight minutes, that's on track for an easy 35+ game had he played the whole game. And you must have seen his passing and getting guys open and not driving unless everyone is covered. Plus he can actually rebound and jump (eventually).
No, did you see when he tried to recover on Carter, where he fell for the fake and let him get right to the rim. That proves to everyone that he was playing with absolutely 0% effort. Have you seen his stats too, it's terrible. In 7-8 minutes per game, I'd expect nothing less than around a point per minute with absolutely elite defense - I mean after all the amount of time he's missed isn't as long as the others with microfracture..
Its not about McGrady, it's about the team, and he would have taken shots away from Landry, Brooks, etc....
