Since Adelman said he didn't want to bring him in for the 4 games in 5 nights stretch, that suggests to me McGrady returns Dec 19th versus OKC or the 22nd against LAC.

Glad to hear he's coming off the bench to start. Focus on transition.

So Tracy McGrady is done for the year. Just ask him -- he'll tell you.
The problem? He hasn't told the Rockets.

As of this afternoon, Rockets guard Tracy McGrady has reached out to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith to tell the whole world that he's out and will be getting microfracture surgery on his knee, and followed that up by posting on his personal website the same thing -- his season is over.

His employer? They have yet to receive a phone call.

Rockets coach Rick Adelman spoke to the press today.

"I found out like everybody else did," said Adelman. "I think there should be a protocol there. There should be a procedure where we have a chance to talk about the situation and not be announced to the press. I don't know why that happened, why he did that, but that's certainly not the way things should be handled."

When asked if he had spoken to Tracy, Adelman was quick to respond.

"No," said Adelman. "You know as much as I do at this point."

I've got plenty more to say on this whole situation soon as it reeks of fishiness on Tracy's part, but we'll let the trade deadline come and go first.

 

People not hating on Tracy, they are fed up with him and ready to move on without him.

 

Just because something is said facetiously doesn't mean it's still not a jab. In fact it was more powerful because it wasn't even remotely serious. THe very crux of the "joke" is just how absurd the idea of tracy facing the cavs would be at this point. Rick even going so far as to suggest hey, that'll be a good measuring stick for you tracy (since you've been telling everyone just how ready you are to play).

So now, after all the proclamations, videos, playing dress up, profanity laced tirades about being ready to play while darryl and rick conspire against him- Tracy wasn't just put in a position to deny a real offer of playing time, but worse endure the fact that his coaches, players, media, & ironically even his followers here who somehow are using it in his defense(?!)- think said proclamations so absurd they are a JOKE...

and that was quite an accomplishment. brilliant little zinger.

Ok, so what the hell is going on? We hear rumors about how Morey and Rick don't want him, now we get a story that says they are fine? If you want to trade the guy, come out and say it. I don't get these conflicting reports. Somebody is lying.

I think a lot of the drama has been manufactured by the media and fans.

 

haha, jumping the gun a little there eh? it's still gonna be a week or two before he even see's the court and it will be off the bench too, he's not jumping on the court and being a 20/5/5 guy out the gate. I do believe if he's healthy the sky is the limit for him with this talented team around him.

I believe we'll see a small decrease is Ariza's and brooks numbers, maybe 15/5/2 for ariza and 15/2/6 for brooks but there efficiency will probably go sky high compared to now.

Why do people really think Ariza is a scorer. Hmmmm this is funny. Ariza probably will barely see 15 points considering the amount of shots McGrady is going to take away from him. Ariza is barely making 15 points now and Mac isn't even playing.

His shot selection is HORRIBLE and guys think he is a scorer.
