shane gives up more open shots, than anybody i have ever seen...this guy is so overrated...let's get some young legs in here
Well if it was offense only but when you factor in defense, especiaaly tonight Chuck gets the nod. DD
The Spurs have been starting George Hill the last few games, because of Jefferson's injury. If Hill is playing, then Lowry will start. If RJ is back, then it could be Budinger. This is an opportunity for Adelman to experiment with a different rotation. He shouldn't pass that up if Battier is willing to come off the bench.
Am I the only one in the state of Texas along with RA that see Chase as a defensive liability. Even as much so as Ariza is a liability on offense? Mark my words, the lineup is being switched not because of Chase's play as of late, but due to the fact that Manu will drop 40 off the bench on him. The Spurs may not abandon their gameplan, but most teams immediately go after Chase the second he hits the floor. That's why his munutes are down. It has nothing to do with Ariza or Shanes "Offensive Explosion". Chase has his flashes of glory on defense, but more times than not he gets beat by any average NBA calliber wing. The dnks are nice, the jumper is sweet (when it goes in about 35% of the time), but I can promise you if you watch objectively on both ends of the court, you will see that he gives up more points than he scores.
A "Tracy Only Fan", meaning the person is more of Tracy McGrady fan than a fan of the Rockets a whole.
I was referring to 3 point shooting. Chase is actually shooting 34% from 3 while Shane is shooting 38% from 3. I know everyone will say most of Shane's shots are uncontested spotup 3's but I don't recall Chase bearking anyone down off the dribble and spotting up for three ala Kobe or DWade. That being said, in about 2 years Chase will be a far better player than Shane is today because his offense will improve even more and his defense will become competent. It will be fun to watch then. I hope RA plays him on Manu tonight if the game isn't on the line. It is the only way he will get better. Good old O.J.T.
I think it is time for Budinger to start and Battier to play 28-30 off the bench. Ariza and Battier in the starting lineup is redundant.
It sounded like he was commenting on giving up open shots on the offensive end. Not really looking for his shot.
At least thats the only logical conclusion i could come to. There's no way he could be referring to his defense, otherwise This.
I'm sorry shane...Cuttino was the only guy that could contain kobe, ask Les he may can contact "CAT" an get a few tips......rocket red tonite
I like Lowry a lot, but no matter what people say, he is just not as good as Brooks. He can't shoot. DD
