You can't stream anything great to Roku. Apple's airplay is the best streaming-to-HDMI service out right now.

This is $35, bro. I'm fully aware the technology isn't new. They'll sell more of these in the next two quarters of the year, than Apple TV's have sold....ever.

ANNNND I believe Apple TV only supports Apple devices. I believe Chromecast will support all devices, as members of the press with iPhone 5's were able to use the demo.

    And again....$35 2" dongle > $99 box

Couldn't one just setup a VPN using old routers? I thought I'd heard something like that. Anybody with computer knowlege, please chime in!

I *DO* want to be clear, that just buying league pass won't get you the Rockets, as is established here on Clutchfans.

If you live in Houston, IT WILL BE BLACKED OUT.

League pass should of cost me 220 but with a jailbroken iPad I haven't paid 1 cent in 3 years of using the app

You would have to tunnel back to a location(router) using a non-Houston (remote) provider. If you had a router in some other city or state and paid an ISP at this remote location you could essentially VPN back to your "remote" router. However it cost you time, money, and you have to factor in feasibility.

It's easier and cheaper to pay for VPN service because they already have it setup and have various tunnels back to their router.

This is basically an Apple TV for $35. I have no interest in an Apple TV, therefore, I have no interest in this.

I don't get how that works. I thought you still needed a league pass login on the app?

Watched the Google Presser today and the feature being touted here is a share of your chrome tab over the Chomecast and is in beta. Although it is a feature I don't know how good it will work for this, although it might work well.

But if you are gonna stream from your PC to the TV why NOT use an HDMI cable to the TV from your PC, because that is what this feature is basically doing. Except you are paying $35 to do it wirelessly.

There are other features that make this worth it though, but I would not tout this feature as a buy in reason.

Well...one reason is it's wireless. My TV is 19 feet from my couch. I'd rather sit over here with my laptop. Or stream it from my office a few rooms away.

Having access to my Play Music/Netflix (one of our TV's doesn't have Netflix), whatever apps developers come out with in the future is all part of why I think the $35 is worth it.

This wasn't meant to be a full on infomercial. If you think $35 is going to be too much, you probably don't have League Pass anyway.

It's not even out in stores yet, but it's certainly promising.

Depends on where. If you go to League Pass' site, they show the regions.

I just got home and was going to post the Chromecast. Big game changer for those of us who may have streamed our guys last year. It's a snap ! 35 bucks. Hmm.think I'll get one....of course !

p.s. They are throwing in 3 months of netflixs free so it pays for itself practically.

Why? That's easy. Don't have to drag the laptop across the house and have damn cables everywhere. In our case.
