Yes, but we only have it for a couple days a year.:p

BTW, thanks a bunch for setting me up with Brian down here. I ended up going another way, but that was very cool of you!

(Didn't know if I ever thanked you for that...)

yes, but we're getting it .0625 times a year right now. if it came once a year that would be awesome. any more than that and it would definitely get annoying (there is basketball to be played) but i needs me some snow about now.

I guess it's OK... but it had better not start until after the 22nd and it had better be melted by the 26th. (That's when I'm flying this year... I don't want to deal with messy weather. I'm paranoid enough as it is.)

Snow is nice and cute as long as you don't have to drive anywhere... go anywhere... be anywhere. I can use snow or ice as an excuse in my job. (Not so with Ferdinand... and I would hate to even drive up or down the big hill leading to our neighborhood in that kind of weather.)

I don't care where you live: driving on ice sucks!

    I remember it being 1994. Or 93?

I was in fifth grade. our Teachers let us go outside to do stuff. We had no idea what to do. It didn't feel cold outside.

As soon as it touched the grass or cement, it melted.

    That was neat.

I am praying for sunny skies tommorow.

Wow, you were in fifth grade? I was in college. I feel old now. :( People went and played in it when they didn't have class. I had a pretty open afternoon and even got to go drive on the freeway in it. (not icy, just flakes coming down... it was fun) My former roommate was stuck in the architecture building and was trying to get out and play in it, since she was from south Texas and had NEVER seen snow in her life. I had come from a place where we got a little bit every year, so it wasn't a huge deal.

By the way, I should tell y'all that I've already played in snow this year. In Ruidoso, NM over fall break. (I have pictures, but I'm not going to post them. I know what y'all do with posted pictures.)

Snow is great for playing, but sucky if you have to shovel it or drive in it. It's a blast for a few days if you are off work and can just run around and be silly. :)

I'm supposed to fly from San Antonio to Mississippi later today. I'm worried about the thunderstorms there, and then ice on the roads as we drive north into Tennessee. I'm even thinking about just not going home this year. And then we fly back Sunday... what if it's bad then too?

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I'm trying to decide exactly what you ought to risk for a few days of Christmas break. Why couldn't it do this some other time of year? :(

I'm still sticking by my native houstonian weather forcast...

No way it snows on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Of course I'm hoping I'm wrong so I can play in the snow with my kids and don't have to drive to port arthur on Christmas Day. :)

I saw on the news last night that Friday morning there is a 30% chance of sleet/flurries.

So you are originally from Tennessee?? Wow, the "gross man of the BBS" had no idea!

Seriously, it is supposed to be bad tomorrow as the Weather Channel is calling for snow showers all day tomorrow. Now whether that stuff actually sticks or ice is involved, I have no idea.

I do know that living in southern middle Tennessee, we have to deal with this stuff a little bit more than I like. Fortunately, the majority of the time it is only a dusting but when it does stick or ice gets into the equation, it causes BIG-TIME problems. And it is a given that will happen at least once this winter. Add in the fact that we have already been having below average temperatures thanks to all these damn Arctic blasts and I have a bad feeling about tomorrow.

I have seen enough snow and ice to last a lifetime; I don't want to see any more of it.:(

Looking at all the forecasts, my bet is that we don't get sleet or snow tomorrow. It will be overcast and cold as a mutha, but the low that was supposed to produce the sleet/snow looks like it will be too far to the south of us to give us any of the frozen stuff.

Yes - Memphis area. Not sure if the weather will be any better than yours... probably, if so, not much. I've heard about all the cold temperatures and it's not going to be fun.

I guess I'll try to go anyway, assuming we make it to the airport on time. I may or may not be on the bbs the next few days. In the past, I haven't been able to log into it from my mom's computer (not sure why; every other computer in the world seems to be OK).
