He was doing few things well i thought. They had him on the low post and he was feeding alot of cutters curling towards the basket.

That kind of gets back to my point though. MJ and some scrubs was enough to put away lottery teams. If Kobe is supposed to be the fiercest competitor we've had in the NBA since MJ, why isn't Kobe and a very solid supporting cast enough to put away lottery teams (or at least enough to show up in the last two games)?

Is it really that fun to proclaim yourself a hater so proudly?

kobe was and is still a great competitor. but he just isn't as dominant throughout the game like jordan was and lebron is.

people diss lebron b/c he puts up great stats throughout the reg. season and hasn't won in the playoffs (and disregard his effort in the playoffs for that reason).

but it is so difficult to dominate 82 games in the reg. season. so difficult. and i'm not just talking about scoring.

jordan did that. lebron is doing that the past 3 years.

i think b/c of a luxury of a great team, kobe can afford stretches of mediocre/above average play (not dominant). same thing with pau gasol recently after a great start.

the reason is considered the best of all time was b/c he dominated almost every game in the reg. season. and then dominated almost every game in the playoffs. lebron james is on the same path (he just needs to win rings now).

therefore, it's absurd to compare jordan and kobe. and that's why lebron has been better than kobe for 2-3 years.

reg. season counts. greatness is in the consistency.

PS - b/c we're comparing kobe w/ the greatest of the past and the greatest of today, it's easy to overlook him. stats-wise, he's still putting up RIDICULOUS #s. ridiculous. he's a top 5-6 producer this year still. he's consistent in his own right.

wrong, Kobe is still the best in the NBA. Lebron has peaked. His drive to the basket game will only last 3-4 more years. His jump shot is horrible.

lebron is relying on his jumper more and more every year, and still shoots a much higher % than kobe ever did.

the only thing lebron lacks is a legit post game. he can score down there, but not consistently. but he's only 25.

wade is 29 with injuries history and he's still driving to the basket at will. lebron will have his penetration game until he's 32-33. his career is not even halfway done. lebron still has 9-10 dominant years left to achieve his goals.

PS - the best player doesn't let lebron continually outplay him in head to head matchups, and they have been on national TV no less. it just doesn't happen. you think MJ would let clyde punk him all the time? or dream with david robinson?

and i put up again: their head to head matchups past few years:
    this year: advantage lebron
    lebron: 27, 11, 10 on 8-14fg
    kobe: 17, 6, 7 on 6-17fg

    09-10: advantage lebron
    lebron: 31.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 9apg on 50%fg
    kobe: 33ppg, 6rpg, 6apg on 36%fg

08-09: even (bron better statline, kobe shot better)
    lebron:19.5ppg, 8rpg, 8.5apg on 32%fg
    kobe: 19.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 7apg on 43%fg

    07-08: advantage lebron
    lebron: 37ppg, 9rpg, 4.5apg on 46%fg
    kobe: 27ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.5apg on 42%fg

06-07: advantage kobe (last year kobe was a better player than lebron)
    lebron: 28ppg, 6rpg, 4apg on 47%fg
    kobe: 35ppg, 6.5rpg, 5.5apg on 47% fg

regular season doesn't really count much when you're in the top cpl seeds even if you are a notorious slackers, the lakers win over half their regular season games just by out-talenting opponent.

that's why i don't get the comparison with MJ. jordan had more talent than you, and he still want to blow you out and embarrass you.

lebron james, and we all know what a pathetic supporting cast in cleveland was, had to be outstanding every game in the reg. season and he still was able to win 60+ games.

great players play great every game (or almost). they want to dominate. they want to embarrass you.

LBJ jumpshot has improved out of sight. He is no longer regarded as horrible. Also most intelligent people now regard LBJ as the best player in the game.

Lebron is only 25, and you say he has peaked. He's jump shot is getting better every game right now, as you saw when he hit 4 3's against the Lakers.
Your either on drugs, or trolling us..

Lebron is only 25 years old. In 4 years Kobe would have already retired while LBJ will still be younger than Kobe is now.

Also his jumpshot and 3 pt shot are much better than kobe. So if LBJ's jumper is horrible Kobe's is downright pathetic. Honestly Kobe is to Lebron as Pippen is to MJ: LBJ's better in just about every category. Only difference is LBJ wanted to team up with Wade instead of Kobe ;)

over exerting yourself when not necessary is probably advantage kobe to be honest, the lakers are probably older than even the '98 bulls mind you.

With odom in the starting lineup, it makes their youngest starter pau at 30.

What do you mean "trolling us"? This is not a Miami Heat fan site. You are the troll.

You know what trolling is? It's when people make stupid comments to get a reaction.
Also, this is NBA Dish, where you can speak about any NBA team, including the Miami Heat.

    Also, U Mad?
