I said "makes a statement for" not saying they were the top dogs. The Spurs (who also know how to win when it counts) are in the conversation as well. But I don't know if I can agree with you, since the world champs are playing who beat Boston. And the Mav's have always looked good in the regular season and were never the best team when it mattered most. Just like people said Boston wasn't a top dog last year, because they were mediocre the 2nd half of the season last year, and turned it on in the playoffs to go to the finals, because they were a team that knows how to win championships. You can look good in the regular season, and still not be the actual top team.
im not sure if aim ready to annoint lebron the best player on the heat, despite popular opinion. Lebron may be up until this point of the season, but I think it will be determined in the playoffs where I think wade may have the edge.
Ron Artest is like a Monty Python sketch on offense sometimes. Wade is carving up the Lakers defense something fierce. The Lakers have no one to check him and Kobe doesn't fight through screens at this point in his career.
LeBron is definitely the best player on the Heat. I don't think there is much argument. But in the playoffs, Wade will raise his game to another level.
When Wade plays great, everyone says he's the best. When LeBron plays great, he gets annointed. Question is: does it really matter? They play on the same team. The Celtics don't care who is better or whose "team it was" between KG and Pierce.
They both should be able to take their game to that other level, and if one of them can't, I don't see how its clear that person is the best player on the team.
Two times the Heat have rotated to Artest on the 3 point line and have been burned. Not sure what the strategy is there...
i think both of them will raise their game to another level; there shouldn't be doubts about that. the question is will bosh raise his game to another level?
