Laker fans are idiots. If they lose one game they act like they have just been erased from playoff contention.
Brandon Roy is such a ****ing stud. I wish East coasters could see this performance. Putting on a clinic.
Uuuuuuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh why couldn't we have done that trade for Brandon Roy instead of Battier.
I assume you saw Roy kick Wade's behind late in the 4th quarter last week at Miami. Tonight tops that, so far. The Blazers have to finish the game.
Yes it is. I just saw Juwan Howard and Brandon Roy do a chest bump. Do you just get those warm fuzzy feeling when you see that? Sigh....... 3 years later...... Damn you Howard!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he wouldn't mesh well with this team; he has shown he can't play with a big man clogging up the paint or other guys handling the ball. it's not a coincidence he's been scoring well again with oden going down.
Its, funny. I used to get so pissed when we couldn't guard Roy in the 4th quarter. But now that I realize he does that to everyone, I just hope we can build up a big enough lead before he gets going.
I always felt the pecking order at 2 guard went Kobe, Wade then Roy. I honestly think Roy ≥ Wade. Wade is the sexier pick but Roy is so damn good.
Oden is as raw as raw can be. He didn't know what he was doing, I think Roy would of been fine playing with Yao.
^ oden didn't even demand the ball a lot, nor do their PGs and he was publicly complaining about the lack of touches (despite having a high usage rate himself). roy is at his best when he has the paint pretty cleared out filled with shooters (and LA is a jumpshooting big man). and he can pick and roll all night.
i was referring with yao when a poster made a comment about having him instead of the battier trade and to your point, roy loves to run the pick and roll to death. but hey everyone loves some ball movement right? roy would be great on this CURRENT team of ours of course, but adelman would have to scrap his current offense to accomodate roy's style of play.
Portland has a great crowd. Wouldn't mind our fans getting that loud in a regular season game against a non-Lakers team.
i put them with the warriors, knicks, and toronto as 4 of the best in the NBA. it helps that the blazers are the only professional team in oregon. their fans are also pretty knowledgeable overall. i enjoy watching blazers games here and there.
i think there needs to be a distinction between intense defense and good defense. kobe definitely played intense defense, fought hard over screens and played really tight. but i don't know if guarding lebron 35 feet from the basket is good defense, it opens things up for other guys and gives them more room to operate when guys like mo williams run off picks. once lebron draws him out that far away, he just needed to make a pass and the rest of the defense would scramble to adjust.
