Yeah I hate to say but I’m not surprised. He’s like KP. He’ll always be injury prone

This is his third ankle injury already this season

There you go with this „i dont have time for injuries”... when you play through ****, hide pain from coaches, dont listen to your body thats what happens. Its not tough its dumb

Interesting... I posted a YouTube vid in the dish of bill burr making fun of harden/nets and come here to find a vid of tom segura and bert! Just need to randomly find a joe rogan post in the Texans thread to complete the triangle.

Lol if this would work there would be no injuries. He will always get injured playing that many games (NBA season). He has long skinny legs with high gravity point, basicaly blueprint to get leg injuries. He has to put a lot of bulk to minimize it

For real tho. He will need to rehab all the way. Don’t be stupid Wood. Even John Wall was like - he didn’t take care of himself.

Did you guys catch Wall’s press conference? He talked a lot about how Wood needed to take treatment more seriously, and this was a sign that he wasn’t. Surprised me how honest Wall was. I like it.

Time to ask him the standard question:

“If you (Wood) were a tree, then what kind of tree would you be?”

I'm honestly quite worried about this kid. I like him. I hope it won't be too bad.

Here comes the Gordon McLemore Tucker trade. Maybe we can get Jaxon Hayes or Lewis Jr.

Wall is not really a Wood fan obviously.

He is closer to Boogie and Dipo.

And it shows when they ice him for several plays at a time, sometimes for entire quarters.

The offense should always go through our best player but Wall has called himself our franchise player a few times now.

I'm no doctor, but played in high school and also broke my ankle as an adult. Since it is a reinjury, and the way it all happened, before the MRI happens my guess would be a 6-8 week recovery. The way it swelled up immediately, I did not see a deformity in shape, so would not think broken. Worse case a fracture, but same time line. if were still in playoff running, he should return, but I imagine he will be wearing a brace of some sort. I know after my injury, the doctor advised me to wear a brace every time I play basketball or strenuous physical activity. The good thing is the kid seems to be tough and is still young. My prediction best case 6 weeks, but I think you are cautious since second time and were closer to 7 maybe 8 weeks. The Rockets will need to make a move as cant count on Cousins alone. I don't want to go back to PJ at center. Our G-League players are not Centers, so not sure what flexibility we have on the roster. I don't see anyone else on the roster can take that role. I know PJ is highly respected, but does this mean with Wood going down your more hesitant to trade him? Don't we have to make a corresponding move for any add, isn't our roster full right now. I would think Stone has to think of a deal, we needed a back up Center anyway with or without Wood. I think the Rockets know we can't win it all this season, but seems they like to compete for playoffs and rebuild at the same time. Don't want to have to high a draft pick to give up, and were not bad enough for Top 4. Wall and Cousins aren't going to waste a year tanking.

The only positive to come out of this, is the Rockets won't need to change their offensive game plan too much.

It's not like they need to account for a huge amount of offense they run through him.. since they run precisely zero.

Oh geez. Wood gave Wall's partner dollar bills too just like Harden did?

How many beefs is this dude going to have.

Did the same to my knee, and my left shoulder. The quickest way to long term ankle problems is to not rehab it and keep intermittently spraining it. I did it early on in football and basketball and my ankles were **** for years. Ended up in a boot for months with several stress fractures. CWood knows where he is at and weakened that ankle the first couple of times he did it wanting to get back and play so that if you land wrong one time (and you will in bball repeatedly) it is almost guaranteed to be more serious with the weight falling on it. The ankle just gives out because there is no strength there. Harden built like a tank spoiled us.

This team is going nowhere and they need to take care of their budding star and not be rushing him back just because he is young. His gift is his athleticism and he is surrounded by Cousins, Dipo, and Wall that have had that stripped from them. Look back to all the trouble EGo has had.
